Population Death

Hi, first time post.

Since installing the latest NAM some of my older cities have been doing crazy things. The entire population gets a no job zot, and they all move out at once. They then slowly start to rebuild, only to move out shortly after.

I recently switched to simulation Z when I installed the latest NAM. Cities I've built on the same region afterwords don't have this problem, so maybe changing simulators has something to do with it? Thanks for any help.

Welcome to Simtropolis.  Boy, I thought one of the Transit Geeks would've answered this by now, but I guess they're all out driving around.    How long have you let this abandoning and rebuilding cycle go on?  I do think I read somewhere that it takes several years for the game to adjust to the new simulators, but they didn't say anything about abandonment.  I do think in general that a bit more intensive modds such as Simulator Z work best when employed on new cities.
