When you play SimCity 4, You can quickly tire of the some what simple(after you have played for a while of course) game play pattern of build roads, provide power, zone, provide services, and then do it all over again. So you add mods, maybe it will be a money mod, or a terrain mod if you find enjoyment in terraforming, or maybe a radical ordinance mod so you can appreciate your hard work sooner. There are many mods to choose from, and i am wondering which ones you like.

Way too many to write them all down here. There are so many great ones, but almost 100% of Pegasus's stuff is definitely on the top of my most favored plugins/mods/additions

This may sound funny but, the Cul-de-sac mod is so simple but adds a much needed drop of realism to my cities streets, I love it.

The mods I have include NAM, RHW, HSRP, Radical Ordinance Mod, and Simoleon Mod. If there more, I can't think of them right now.

Edit: I forgot about SAM an RAM. The names are NAM (Network Addon Mod), RHW (Rural Highways), HSRP (High Speed Rail Project), SAM ( Street Addon Mod), and RAM (Rail Addon Mod) which includeds STR (Single Track Rail).

Think about what kind of city you want to build. Like if you wanted to make the most Stoner Doom Metal town of them all:

I think obviously it'd have to be focused on suburbs, because while bleak, it should also be laid back.

You'd need all the traffic mods. It'd be riddled with freeways, sandwiched between huge cities, and smothered in smog. You're playing NAM on low B simulation, hard difficulty.

No stuff that makes things easy, either, because life sucks.

Luckily there's some nice grungy looking low-wealth props that came out recently. Slums everywhere.

Hunt down some unique industry and use it right in there with the residential. Your Sims don't deserve to breathe.

If there's any flora mods that give you different types of dying trees, this will help.

A water mod that makes it look grey. Because industry has wrecked every aspect of life here.

It's one way to approach mods. Just figure out what you want to grow, and then hunt for mods that will help get exactly that.
