Did the Mars have enemy? Yes, the enemy of people: Emmanuel Goldstein

Goldstein was the renegade and backslider who once, long ago, had been one of the leading figures of the Mars, almost on a level with Big Brother himself, and then had engaged in counterrevolutionary activities, had been condemned to death, and had mysteriously escaped and disappeared. He was the primal traitor, the earliest defiler of the Mars’ purity. During the Two Minutes Hate everybody would curse him for his acts of sabotage, heresies and deviations

Comrades! Attention, comrades!(There were no Mr. or Mrs. In Mars) We have glorious news for you. We have won the battle for oxygen production! Returns now completed of the output of all classes of consumption goods show that the standard of living has risen by no less than twenty percent over the past year.

All over the Mars tomorrow there were irrepressible spontaneous demonstrations when workers marched out of factories and offices and paraded through the streets with banners voicing their gratitude to Big Brother for the new, happy life with his wise leadership has bestowed upon us.

                                            II   THE WAR

The Mars was in the war all the time.

    122157498333.jpg

Mars was fighting against Orion and Hydrus.  Sometimes it was in alliance with Orion, sometimes they became enemies. All of them were superpowers, and they couldn’t conquer one another. The war was eternal.>3.gif>

    122159764339.jpg

The military history of Mars was rewritten over and over again. If Big Brother announced a war to Orion four years ago and now became alliance. All the history book, magazines, newspaper would be rewritten again. Big Brother was never wrong.

Everything must serve to the frontier, even the domestic production. Winston hadn’t got chocolate ration for three months and razorblades for two weeks. You couldn’t get chocolate and razorblades in shops. All commodities came by ration every month. Or you could (if you were lucky) buy some in earthling swamp’s “free market”.>3.gif>

Comrades! Attention, comrades! (There was no Mr. or Mrs. in the Mars,) A newsflash has this moment arrived from the Malabar front. Our forces have won a glorious victory. The brave soldiers captured 12 enemies. Let’s feel thankful to our great and beloved Big Brother.

Tomorrow all clerks and workers should attend the national flag raising ceremony in

    Victory Square
, with the hanging of 12 war criminals afterwards.>3.gif>

Most excellent, comrade. The Big Brother statue is very imposing but I am not frightened because I know Big Brother has my best interest at heart. Thank you for sharing your vision of the Leader's might and mercy with the contented workers of your happy country.

True - any attempt to satisfy disgusting 'personal' needs is selfish and anti-social. You should ban all sexual activity and clone your citizens instead, then 'correct' the medical books to remove all reference to the savage practice of breeding. Good citizens  are made, not born.

A triplegood update, comrade qinbenjiaren! The pictures reflect the mighty and beloved Big Brother very well, as do the war scenes reflect the eternal power of Mars. Your proposal of spying on the earthlings will have to be reflected and needs to be incorporated into by biogenetic chips to elaborate the best method. Looking forward to more input, comrade lucky7

Two kids in the street were fighting, one of them yelled: “you are a traitor! You are a thought criminal! You are a spy. I will shoot you! I will vaporize you! I will send you to salt mine!”

    15172441438.jpg

Winston wrote in his diary: To the future or to the past, to a time when thought is free, when man are different from one another and do not live alone----to a time when truth exists and what is done cannot be undone: from the age of uniformity, from the age of solitude, from the age of Big Brother, from the age of doublethink. Greetings!

    15173581239.jpg

To a time when there were still privacy, love and friendship. Today there were fear, hatred, and pain, but no dignity of emotion, or deep or complex sorrows. He wrote in his diary: down with Big Brother! Down with Big Brother! Down with Big Brother! Down with Big Brother!... …”

                                                            III  LOVE

Winston got a love letter. From Julia.

He knew the girl. He saw her in the parade of Youth Anti-Sex League where she was very active. She worked in Novel-writing department of Ministry of Truth where Mars novel were produced. And the lover letter said:

    I love you

Winston trembled. How could this be true?>3.gif>

    They met in

    Victory Square
under the Big Brother statue. Winston was filled with passion. He was in love.>3.gif

Telescreen and Thought Police were all over the Victory Square, but the flood of enthusiastic people covered their talking. They set a date.>3.gif>

To take a train and leave the city.>3.gif>

Through the rail tunnel and flying on the red land.>3.gif>[/B]

You never know when the Police Patrol would fly over your head, but Winston couldn’t careless. He watched out of the train window, the great reddish landscape. >3.gif>

This is a place of nowhere. A place forgotten by Mars.>3.gif>

    18188254986.jpg

    They embraced and made love.

They forgot the time. They forgot the era. They forgot the Big Brother. They forgot the Mars. They were crazy in love.>3.gif>
