    No comments?

    Welcome to page 6!!!

    Again, I don't have much time, so I'll put in a city shot of Mt. Tabor at night.

    <ahttp://img190.exs.cx/img190/6269/mt12ma.jpg align=baseline>

    (sorry about the bad image quality)

    As you can see here, 17 bypasses the Mt. Tabor metro area as Rt. 17C is a spur that heads right into downtown. The population is hovering around 50,000.

    I do believe I see a Wal-Mart next to your stadium. Near where I grew up, there is a Wal-Mart near a dirt speedway. Saturday nights it's like redneck heaven. 29.gif

    Anyway, that said, I always look forward to your updates. The snow looks really pretty, and quite appropriate for all these storms that have been coming through here lately.

    Oroen: lol. I didn't really think about that when I designed the city. I guess I better name the team the Mt. Tabor Rednecks... I'm glad you like the snow.

    I'lll try and get an update in soon (maybe this weekend). Hopefully, I'll get a region pic too as comdude21 requested because things have changed... If there's any extra area that you would like to see in depth feel free to ask...

    Compromise: Welcome to ST, and thanks for the comment.

    And now for Mt. Tabor.
    <ahttp://img93.exs.cx/img93/3108/17v521mm.jpg align=baseline>
    Gustav drove past a silo mill just as he entered Mt. Tabor.
    <ahttp://img179.exs.cx/img179/4207/17v513be.jpg align=baseline>
    (I made a new CR sign and I hope you guys like it.) CR 188 is a back road leading to the suburbs surrounding Port Jervis.
    <ahttp://img179.exs.cx/img179/8404/17v533uq.jpg align=baseline>
    BR 17 makes a right turn here as part of the bypass of Mt. Tabor. BR 17C leads directly into the city and Interstate 3.
    <ahttp://img76.exs.cx/img76/1158/17v549rb.jpg align=baseline>
    Here is the beginning of BR 130. This is another back road that leads to the farming towns of South LaFayette and Sexton (more on that in another update)
    <ahttp://img76.exs.cx/img76/6922/17v557ch.jpg align=baseline>
    I used the orange line to mark that there is a railroad crossing here (even though it is impossible to see with the snow). From now until after the intersection with 17A, Route 17 does not have any houses or businesses because it is in a rock cut.
    <ahttp://img235.exs.cx/img235/3326/17v562sh.jpg align=baseline>
    Here is a shot of the lonely stretch of 17. It offers some beautiful views of Mt. Tabor to the left.
    <ahttp://img235.exs.cx/img235/7329/17v574jf.jpg align=baseline>
    CR 282 leads back to I-3 and downtown. The road has some very sharp curves and a hairpin to go down the hill.
    <ahttp://img235.exs.cx/img235/5456/17v588gg.jpg align=baseline>
    Here is 17A's southern end. That's all for now. Comments are always appreciated. Next update will include a regional pic, the rest of Mt. Tabor, and the beginning of Cliffside Forest.

    kingofsimcity: I took all of these pictures on Christmas Day when the easter egg was in effect.

    Compromise: Thanks for the comment.

    Here is a quick region update.<ahttp://img177.exs.cx/img177/3340/reg24nw.gif align=baseline>
    I'm sorry that I forgot to add a transportation view to this. The region population has hit 3,711,235. Please comment.

    No wonder that Binsur was nominated for the 2004 trixie awards as most chaotic city. There is a good mixture of diffrent types of villages/towns/citys in there. I have added a Binsur link to my signiture to attract more visiturs as well.

    All right, some comments.

    Quack: Yeah, you replied a while back. Great to see you back.
    kingofsimcity: I use the PrintScreen button and collect them in MS Word.
    Compromise: Ooh. The second person to put a link to my CJ in their sig other than Mattc005. I feel honored.
    Cjah: Thanks for the comment.

    Next update will come this weekend.

    Ok. I have had severe RLS lately. I'm sorry that I haven't been updating this CJ, but this isn't dead. Here are teaser shots of Mt. Nittany's beginnings (coming in 2 updates)<ahttp://img244.echo.cx/img244/8632/mtn27dm.jpg align=baseline>
    Obviously, there is more development now. BR 8 (not tolled at this point, sorry about the sign error) has been upgraded to 4 lanes and a new interchange has been added near the top right of I-3 and BR 17 (multiplexed here, more on that later)
    <ahttp://img244.echo.cx/img244/5632/mtn12fh.jpg align=baseline>
    This is where I-3 and BR-17 split. I-3 goes to the new city of West Dentek, and BR 17 goes to the Munson Villages. The coal power plant is now gone, and there have been 2 local interchanges added to I-3.

    I hope you like these pics, and I hope I'll be able to update this more often.

    Nice variety of road networks there. I like the use of the avenue to mimic a four-lane freeway.

    Well I have some bad news. Most of the snow pictures of the remaining towns that I had have been mysteriously deleted from my hard drive. This is part of the reason for the delay in updates. So because of this, there will be no more snow pics or up-close pics. EDIT: Some of the pics are deleted, but not all of them. Instead, there will be wider shots of the cities that BR 17 runs through combined with some normal wide shots. Now to answer some comments.

    college_emt_dinger: Thanks for the comment. That interchange was actually inspired by a real highway, Interstate 287 in New Jersey where it runs through a huge rock cut.

    oroen: Yes, I do use the avenue as a 4-lane freeway. In future updates, you'll be able to see the types of interchanges that I use.

    Compromise: Thanks once again for your comments.

    Sorry about the lost pictures.

    Only one pic update since the last time I have been here. Maybe you should start posting more and more pics daily. If I get the time, I'll add you to a list of Cj's I am going to put as my Favorites.

    Sorry. It has been tough for me lately with sports and everything. Here's a quick update.

    <ahttp://img76.echo.cx/img76/2789/mttu218ox.jpg align=baseline>
    (I have added CycleDogg's new mod and boy does it look wonderful. I have no idea why these pictures are pixelated.) CR 178 leads to the farming community of Sexton and turns onto BR 17 for a brief multiplex.
    <ahttp://img76.echo.cx/img76/8875/mttu223tz.jpg align=baseline>
    Here is where CR 178 turns off and BR 17 continues. This section gets quite busy.
    <ahttp://img76.echo.cx/img76/253/mttu233vm.jpg align=baseline>
    Here is a new development as BR 17 crosses into Cliffside Forest.
    <ahttp://img76.echo.cx/img76/7092/cf12xq.jpg align=baseline>
    Here is a snow pic of Gustav crossing into Cliffside Forest.
    <ahttp://img225.echo.cx/img225/2273/cf32il.jpg align=baseline>
    The road goes through a small village. If he was to turn right, he would be on west I-6 toward Sexton and the farming towns.
    <ahttp://img76.echo.cx/img76/8038/cf28qf.jpg align=baseline>
    The BR 17 overpass over I-6. I'll provide a wide shot of this in the next update, because this does look cool from a wide shot. Comments are always appreciated.

    Great update.17.gif

    I like the picture of the BR 17 crossing the I-6. You do have a very advanced road network in Binsur.

    Time to answer some comments.

    Compromise: Thanks as always for the comment.
    ephorex_77: Yes, I do have a lot of buildings on the eastern side of the region. Thanks for the comment.
    Cjah: Well, I don't think it is a problem of people reading this CJ. The problem is that few people are hitting the REPLY button and this is why this CJ has been going so slowly.

    Here is a better look at that I-6 and BR 17 interchange.
    <ahttp://img130.echo.cx/img130/8596/cf47ne.jpg align=baseline>
    I have no idea why these pictures have been pixelated lately, but I will fix the problem in the next update. I do use avenues to mimic highways in less populated areas, and this creates some interesting interchanges such as this. A bigger update will come soon.

    I recently drove along I-287 in North Jersey, and I must say that I think you've managed to partially replicate the look of that area. It's a beautiful roadway indeed, and encourage anyone in the vicinity to take a little roadtrip along it someday.

    Nice use of a highway multiplex 9.gif

    I love those pictures of the snowy terrain.  Your first picture(on this page) looks a lot like a ski resort.  The pictures you took while driving around the city were really awesome too.  I like your new development as well.  You really use the NAM in a fantastic way.  I can't wait to see some more!
