Crashing Problems

Hi, I tried searing for this topic but couldn't find anythiing on it. I had a copy of SC4D and it worked great, but I lost the playing disk for it and had to buy another one. Now I can play for a little while and then it just starts crashing on me.  I uninstalled the old one completely and installed the new one. Is there anybody who can help me w/this? Thanks!

Did you remember to install the game update patch?

one thing to try is completely deleting any trace of sc4 from your computer (except your cities & plugins)

Make sure you check your installation path and delete the entire Maxis folder. (Make sure you uninstall before deleting anything, as well as backup your cities and plugins.. Regions too)

I guess I've been reluctant to d/l the patch b/c of my bad experiences w/the patches for Societies. Those only made that game worse!
