Briton 'sleepwalks' to his death off hotel balcony

Troy Heather, 18, from Chertsey, Surrey, had been staying at an apartment in Minorca, Spain with his girlfriend, Danielle Ward, 19.

She said she was woken by a noise at about 3.30am, dashed out of bed and saw Troy as he went out of the window and fell from the balcony.

"I woke up because I heard a bang," she said. "I shot up and I just knew something was wrong. I just saw his legs fly up and go out of the window and I just screamed. I didn't really understand what had happened."

The inquest heard that Mr Heather sustained multiple injuries and despite attempts to revive him he was pronounced dead in hospital at around 7am.

His father Nick said his son had a brief history of sleepwalking, but that it had not happened for a few years.  quote>

Becsue the sleepwalking hasn't happend  for a while i that its coverup for a sucide. But i might be wrong.

I don't think so. I mean, he was staying with his girlfriend. Someone depressed enough to commit suicide wouldn't have a girlfriend, would they?

Maybe, but by whom? The girlfriend? What's the motive?

Although, the question is begged as to how one would just walk off a balcony, asleep or not. I mean, isn't there a railing?
