Installing Plugins Question

I switched from playing SC4 from my desktop to my labtop awhile back.......

I had to reinstall SC4 on my labtop, and I deleted my plugin folder because I was having conflicts already....  I would just go through and download stuff again, except STEX has been really slow for me lately, actually not really working at all.....

I realised I have my plugins folder still on my desktop, so I was just going to copy my whole folder over...  In most cases I don't think this will be a problem...  I'm curious though if the lots that need installing (you know, agree to terms, hit next a bunch 2.gif, pick a destination) need to be re-installed.  Anyone know?  I'm hoping I could just copy the installation results onto my labtop.

The installers are only a means of compressing the files even more to decrease bandwidth. (Thats why BSC does that with their LEX (I think). (As well as many others))

So the answer is no, just copy them into your new plugins folder.

That is one reason. The other is so people have more organised lugins and the team/author is more "noticable" by having a folder for it.

What Swat said is correct, and if you want you can move the folder  to somewhere else in the plugins, it will still work.
