Harbor area...

A street located to the harbor. I dont finished mine harbor area, so thats why you cant see it..

Cause you can see, only trainrail with the train going to the city...

Great start for your CJ, keep it coming.

The tram rail is called Ground Lightrail or just GLR. It's incl in the new NAM. (found in Modding files at the buttom). There are some station on GLR-project homepage (see my sig). On the STEX you find two staion by JEC.

That looks awesome Sorcerer!!! The rowhouses look fantastic. Great job. The GLR (tram) modd is located in the Network Addon Modd (NAM). The stations and the stand-alone Ground Light Rail (GLR) modd you can find on the GLR-website. The link is in the sig of a member called 'Goaskin' (EDIT: or vester_dk hehehe). If you have questions, you can PM me. BTW are you Dutch??

Great pics, but one thing - THEY'RE TOO BIG! The limit here is 800x600 pixels. Yours are 1024x768 (I'm talking about the largest ones, here, the others are fine).

You might want to change it before one of the mods notices...

It looks really good. But it would look even more realistic if you wouldn't include in your pics the control panel from the game. To hide it, just click on the small minus symbol in the lower left corner; to take pictures without it, press Ctrl+Shift+S. Sorry if you already knew all this...

You made a really beautiful city! I like these rows and you made a good work with your greens and your plazas.

Just two things:

1. The nightlights. Do you have the last patch from Maxis installed? Without it BATs don't have nightlights (and I would LOVE to see your Rotterdam by nightwith nightlights!!!).

2. Did you see those palm trees? Don't they disturb you? If yes go to the modding section and install the NoPalmTree mod, your city will look better afterwords ... (and if you have some R$, consider the ADC forrested streets mod!)

But these are just some suggestion, really, I admire your great work! Keep 'em coming and I will lurk again!

I agree though you maybe should've called it old rotterdam.

Im curious: will there be any downtown areas, like rotterdam city center? (delfste poort etc)

hmm... maybe i should change the name in Old Rotterdam...

The idea behind New-Rotterdam is just like New-York... (New-Amsterdam) Just a new dutch city of colonists...

 

That about the downtown area of the real rotterdam im making a kind sort of strip with only highrise... Casino's and stuff like that.

 

Oil Riffinery is in the agenda but not for now... First i will complete the city centre between the channels...

Behind that i will make resedents areas (wijken... i dont know the english word of it)

A huge park is also in the plan, and also a huge harbor... (with the oil refinery )

 

But first i need help to introduce the nightlights and tram rail...

For now theres nothing build on but it will be with housing, old buildings and maybe a litte castle, just the stuff you used to see on this city-page....
