Cartographers and their faulty notes.

Ok, I have SC4 deluxe and every time my city attains a notable population, such as 5000 or anything higher, a message in the message box says how cartographers take note as my city reaches 5000 people, but my city might have 300,000 or something. What is happening and is there a way I could change it? Thanks.

When you reach certain population milestones that message appears in the ticker. What makes you think you could have 300,000? Every time you reach a new milestone does it always show 5000? It could be old news. Did you try clearing it out from the ticker?

You may thing that the game may just be trying to trick and demean you, when in actuality you are just seeing it late. On the bottom there where you first see it, only 3 things get displayed at once, so you really don't see anything that is really up to date. You can click that box to get a full list of news from your city.
