I had some time to add these news before the weekend.

The Unthinkable Happened

Joao Otavio gave the order this morning to two of the five  vessels, which are in orbit of Opall since a week now, to make their first try for landing on the meteor.
Although everything went fine until they made contact with the rock ,both of the vessels tipped over onto the side, because of the extremely unstable shell ,and they exploded within seconds later,after being thrown around by the meteor's speed. 36 people on board of these two ships died instantly.

 

Mr Otavio did not make any comments for the moment because of his mental condition caused by the disasterous event.He is also not available at all. His right hand Man , the  Mission's supervisor, told the press that nothing could have been done and it was told before that this is a suicidal mission with little surviving chance. The outer shell of Opall is soft and very unstable, but also very hard and sharp rocks can be found in between the dust that has been collected with its  g-force all through the universe. 80% of the meteor is ice, just frozen water, that is what Joao thinks. All the robots that have been sent down to the meteor last week failed the landing because of the mouvement of the big rock. But they have to land, one way or the other.

 

The three remaining vessels are put on hold for the moment and close observation of Opall will continue from hundreds of miles away, until the arrival of Evermind's Space Station Nexis II Traveler, which has all the newest equipment on board. But this is only in 4 months or so.

 

On Uru and on Genesis , this will remain a day that they will all remember and honour. All the stores and offices are closed until tomorrow morning. The Rulers from Uru and Genesis have sent their sympathies to the families of the victims.

 

Vatt, our Chemist and Chief Scientist told the press by *space-phone*, another invention of Wren Trey that is still in development,that there might be a solution to this problem, but he didn't mention any details yet. Together with Tim, also aboard the Space-Station on the way to Verto,Wren will put his ideas into matter by the time they reach Opall, 4 months away.

 

Here are some facts about Opall:

-Probably made out of ice at 80% or more.
-Canyons as big as Uru and deep as the distance between Genesis and its moon.
-these giant cracks are filled with dust and other loose materials collected through the universe ever since its existance.
-the mouvement of the meteor is extremely rapid , but only sideways, and probably at a speed of  more than 29 thousand miles/hr. It makes a side full turn in less than 18 minutes, and for its size, THIS is fast. And this is also why the landings are even harder.
-The advancing speed towards Uru in the contrary to its rotation is very slow, less than 200 miles/hr.
-the size of the meteor is 27 times bigger than Uru,which is slightly smaller than Genesis ,which in its turn is about 95% the size of Earth. (Got that?...lol)
-The meteor is probably hollow, meaning it is filled with either some sort of gaz or maybe even just an empty space. This is what the mission of Otavio is all about, to find out and get to know Opall and all its secrets.
-right now it is approximately 47 years away from Uru, considering the speed as of today, but the speed has been very unstable lately and it could be more or less.

lol . . . Mr. B I was positive the grand business venture was a lemonade stand, I'm so shocked. Awesome space station. Somebody ought to be censured for the Opall tragedy, what recklessness.

Finally I made my grand appearance. It feels so good to breathe that semi-fresh smoke filled air of my mother's apartment.

Indeed such a mission is prone to a high mortality rate... This meteor is extreme, and landing in it is something not easy to do... [:0]

With this site being on and off all the time and me having problems to upload anything, this CJ won't be updated until everything is back to order. I will though keep you informed on the events on Genesis without pictures .

mr.B great update as always concerning the money that Jim turned into Sherlock Holmes it has been discovered that part of that money was counterfeit. Mr. Holmes is investigating further into this matter.

Ok fellows, I have had troubles  opening the main page of ST lately, it seems to be down almost all the time, or maybe it is down when I try to open it....

Anyways, yesterday I tried a partial upload and then the site crashed, just before I was going to finish the post......doh!!! That took me 18 minutes to upload and nothing was showing here.

 

I will retry this weekend and probably in smaller quantities (not qualities)

I have some news and pics about a lot of things and also some more customs buildings.

 

 

So make sure you will be back before the weekend ends.

It was quite difficult for me with my miserable 56K to make upload in the last

week, but I guess the site had some problems too.....lol.Finally I was able to

have this update uploaded after several attemps....Am I glad the site is back on

its feet (I hope)...and I am also glad that you guys kept the CJ up front and

that I don't have to look through all the pages to find it. Hope that you folks

didn't suffer too much from my (and the site's) absence.

 

Let's go on with the story, we have a lot to catch up, alot of happenings and

events, many things are changhing on Uru and Genesis and a lot of action is soon

to come, with Opall less than 45 years from Uru.

 

Rico Az, the Mayor of Axis south, the owner of R.I.C.O.-TV in Gloryville and also

a big Film Producer, had himself a Movie Studio built , not less than a couple of

hundred yards from his home. This was especially built for his second film that

will talk about the Nexis Family and their arrivals on Genesis. Somewhat of a

Drama/Adventure Documentary. This film should take a few years to realize,and

will be filmed all over the planet and also on Uru.
Also Rico was asked by the the Regional Administration Office to make a total

film documentary on Uru, in every corner and on every hill. This film is to be

made to remember the planet in all its details after Opall will destroy

it,something like having a souivenirs of their patrimony.
Plus with the money that he earned from his first movie, Mr Az decided to open a

Radio station in Axis South, again not to far from his him home and just on the

edge of the City of Axis South. I guess he is about to make competition to Jim to

become the busiest man on Genesis.

 

 Here we have a better look of the entire City and its surroundings.Axis City is

still the third biggest City on Genesis with a pop of no less than 100,000. The

City had a big problem with garbage and it will be completely cleared out in the

next one or two years. By shipping all the stuff by train to Stone Valley, it

will leave enormous room for industrial zoning after, which most of it has

already been sold to bigger manufacturing Companies,moving from Uru in the next

years.

Sherlock Holmes, the President of the Holmes Security Company ,has sold his first

Pub/Restaurant to th Dutch Kid in Axis City. This is where Sherlock started his

first job on Genesis and he bought it later, together with another pub in

Gloryville that he kept for the moment. Dutch with the help of the Nexis Bank in

Axis South got this financed and he wants to make some major changes to the Bar

and restaurant world in the futur. Maybe it's got to do something with this thing

that he is working out mysteriously with  Hawklyn and Rilian, and now it even

seems to implicate another one, Miss Kitty Cat, who was seen with Hawklyn and the

other quite often lately.

Sven on his side in New Sholes is about to finish his new fenced in Community 

within his Marina limits. Many hi-wealth houses  were built as soon as Jim got

back from his vacation on Uru.

 

This community, not very large and including about a dozen or so houses, will

soon be locked and a gate will be erected at the entrance. Mr Holmes got the job

to keep the area in safe by placing a security agent at the entrance and others

to patrol the area 24 hrs/day. The land and the homes were sold to the bigger

buissness men of New Sholes and also from other towns and Cities, but the Marina

was kept in his private posession. This Marina will only serve this closed off

community, without any public access at all.

Now, completely on the other side of Genesis, in the newly settled township of

Kate Springs, Adley Hawklyn bought a couple of acres awhile ago as we all know

and now he planted it all with hop. Even some buildings were especially

constructed for this purpose and when you drive by, one can see hundreds of

barrels of...yes...Beer., the first brewery on Genesis??. The mystery between

Rilian, Hawklyn,Miss Kitty Cat and the Dutch Kid is about to be solved.
Rilian will supply the best water available for these alcoholized drinks, Hawklyn

will see to it that wheat and hop will be grown in large quantities, Miss Kitty

Cat is genetically improving the plants to be of the best quality and the Dutch

kids will put it onto the market as Beer and other Alcohol Brevages, which were

hardly available on Genesis before.
Mr Hawklyn is about to have Mr Vegetable build a large Brewery on his land in

Axis South, and Dutch bought the first Pub from Mr Holmes.This could become a big

buissness on Genesis, now that it has reached the 200,000 population

mark.Hm.....that makes me feel like to have a beer at Dutch's.........

Tim Chula's dream is about to fulfill, to see his Company to become better and

stronger than the Razor Blade Logging Industries. Of course he has still ways to

go, but now that the rails have reached his domain, the limit of enlarging his

Company have been widening also. Tim is now working with his almost 500 employees

in three different counties, White Sands, making room and preparation for the new

settlements,in Moose Bone with his sawmill cutting the best wood around, the

Nuganty trees and here in Black Lake on his private land,clearing, but also

planting to make sure that future cuts can be made.
At this moment Mr Chula is in the west to have a look at some possibilities to

make some clearings there, before the mass immigration from Uru arrives in the

next few years.

After the accident and some precautions and new laws so that it would not happen

again, the Joao's Race Track in Round Lake Junction was reopened. Also the Casino

was finalized, along with a motel, and of course one of Dr Evel's Starbucks. It

is his twelveth Starbucks in ten different townships. Only Gloryville and Nexis

City have two of them.

We all remember this small village of Round Lake Jct when it started as a rural

community and a quiet place to spend a nice weekend, but it is changing slowly

and I guess the Race track and the Casino will help quite a bit. Mr Holmes was

asked in to make some future plans for the security in Round Lake Jct, before a

problem will arrise, now that the poplulation is slowly rising to become a town.

Mr Slayer from Slayer Inc in Gloryville finally had Brett build his Head

quarters, something that he was impatiently waiting for. This is a twin building

that is connected by the underground. Slayer Inc has been manufacturing a lot of

things , from Spacecraft Main engines to Party Baloons. Slayer Inc is one of the

biggest customers of Smurfer Steel and they supply Nexis Industries and Nexis

railways with the finest products available, plus exporting to Mahoon is planned

in the near future, if only the Gaburans would open their borders... and their

stubborn minds.

A look at the Slayer Center at night on the sides of one of the busiest streets

in Gloryville, Main Street. Again it is Sherlock's agents who will take care of

the security in these twin buildings.

 

Other news: This week Huber Sims ,from the Razor Blade Logging Industries,left us

forever at a respective age of 98 years. His sons Ray and Billy Sims took over

the gigantic industry that is competing with Tim Chula. Although at one moment

Huber wanted Mr Chula dead at all risks, Tim presented himself at the funeral to

bring his last respects. Mr Sims was burried in the Gloryville cemetary the day

after.Let's remember him as one of our great personalities on Genesis, having

given us many jobs (over 800) and made Treeland to become a the biggest farming

community in this region.

 

Lift off this morning of two other spaceships to Opall,with many more personal

and material,which was lost on the last landing attempt. This time the Boss

himself , Joao Otavio,is on the way to the meteor to have a closer look at this

giant rock.He will arrive in a few weeks, just about a month befor the Space

Station Nexis Traveler will arrive there also, after its inspection of Verto, the

green planet.

 

Next time on Nexis of Genesis: Trouble on the Space Station...the beginning of

the civilization of White Sands...a look at Cedar Bay and it's quick

evolution...Big health breakthrough from Miss Kitty Cat and much more...
