Thanks so much for all the positive comments. I am glad you all enjoy this CJ,since I do too.....lol, but I can't vote for it though....lol

Hey Thanks for adding my CJ to your sigs, timotheus and Octopus man, I kind feel important now16.gif....lol

Don't worry about not having voted for me Delai_Llama, I didn't write this to become the number one, but for the fun of writing and reading it.

Thanks again folks, that is all appreciated, I'll remember this.2.gif

ah, that one little comment strikes a chord for me, as i approach mine the same way.

there are some rather great journals out there...what makes those different from others is not just dedication, but more so - enjoyment. if, as a city journalist, you do not enjoy doing the journal, it will show. however, when a journalist enjoys his or her work, it shines through so much. this proves true for all forms of entertainment, from movies, to music, to all other forms of art (watching Citizen Kane again right now...it is obvious Wells enjoyed making this film, as well).

your enjoyment shines through quite a bit, MrBisonM. one can tell from reading it, you are having a ball doing this. that is what makes it so enjoyable for the rest of us. for me, Nexis is the Citizen Kane of city journals - the one which has helped turn city journals into an artform.

Well Mr Cinatit, I guess you are about the same stage as I am with your journal, : You're having a Ball! By the way, that was a nice of you what you said, thanks.21.gif

superchad....Hm....who are those that are getting married? I only heard rumours and nothing for sure yet and maybe we will see only one mariage I heard lately, but I 'll get to that much later on. Listen to timotheus4, be patient.2.gif

Stjern swe, I guess you either did not read and see the whole journal or you probably forgot, but here are some of the parks of Miss White again.1.gif

First in Axis City and her first project,to
make the traffic soundless to the residents, she surrounded the highway 1 with treeparks, that cut the pollution and the noise at the same time.
And believe me it works. A lot of residents have to take a look at their clock now to know what time it is, then before when they heard the traffic, they knew that rush-hour of 4 Pm has arrived. This job made her known.

    /idealbb/files/1AxisHgwyPark.jpg
Second job was in Axis City also, the beautification of the canal, but only this part was done, since Ciroyon, the Mayor of Axis City, began to have financial problems with the City , as we all know, and money ran out to continue.
    /idealbb/files/2AxisCanalPark.jpg
Then after several smaller parks here and there, she became the Responsable of the Oriole Park in Fallow Canyon Creation after the death of one of our old friends, you must remember this for sure. When Oriole, founder of Axis South and the first Alien encountered on Genesis, died, the Nexian Government decided to honour a park in his name where the first contact happened, right here on the spot in Fallow Canyon. Rilian found the transparent Gold, which was Oriole's favourite jewel, and which is on top of his statue as a big yellowish ball.- The two statues on the left and the right represent the meeting of Oriole, the Gaburan and Commander Kronxc on these premisses many years ago.On the left is Oriole and on the right is Kronxc The cross indicates where Oriole was burried. The Star park on top tells the story of the two nations contact graved onto a Transparent gold plate which represents a document waving in the wind. The other park was given to Oriole to remember his home planet of Mahoon. This is the biggest Park that she ever did and it is a part of the Nexian's heritage.
Miss White did a good job here, since it draws more than 50,000 visitors every year.
    /idealbb/files/3FallowCanyonPark.jpg
Again after some smaller parks , mostly in Gloryville and Axis South, Miss Elizabeth White opened a Park in her Family's name in Black Lake, which tells the great story of the White family, discovering the Urulian Continent on Uru more than a Millenium ago. Her ancestors were the first to civilize and tame the savage land of Urulia. They have come by a Galleon (ship), which Miss White reproduced in every detail to give an idea to todays people how it was. Here too, the whole story can be read and seen on a TV screen in the Park building just on the right of the Galleon. In the back of the ship was Miss White's Office. This is part of the Urulian heritage.
    /idealbb/files/4BlackLakePark.jpg

Now this park is now in the property of the town of Black Lake, which was here hometown for more than 30 years, as her last words stated so, since she does not have any descendants. May she rest in peace.

Consider this small update as a bonus to Miss White's Lifestory.1.gif

    ...see you all later.....2.gif

wow...another one of those little things - actual bridges over the Oppie canals (for those who don't know, the Oppie canals are actually lots - spectacular lots). that is another one of those very nice little touches - i don't know if you ever mentioned it, or if anybody else has, but...wow.
i have a couple of guesses on how you accomplished it...it is just amazing that i have never seen anybody seen this before.

Two marriages were scheduled in Roundlake Junction, but only one was held, the other one was cancelled and the name will be kept confidential for the moment. Mr Sven got married to Anke, someone he met on his latest buissness trip to Uru and it was here in Roundlake Jct where it happened, the best known place to get married.

    /idealbb/files/1RoundLakeJunctionSven's'Marriage.jpg
At the same time Sven bought some land around his newly purchased Marina in New Sholes.  I don't know yet, if it is for personal use or to invest his money again, one never knows with Sven.
    /idealbb/files/2NewSholesSven'sBuy1.jpg
Almost all the empty lots and terrain around the Marina was bought out by him, plus I heard that he made some real good offers to some of the existing houses nearby. He would probably buy the New Sholes Cemetarty also, if he could.
    /idealbb/files/3NewSholes-Sven'sBuy2.jpg
Now in Treeland, which by the way doesn't have too many trees anymore, Dr Evel bought out his neighbors to get his hands on the land that he needs to grow his own coffee now....Hm... He has been seen in West Axis on the experimental farm quite often lately , working with Miss Kitty Cat to develop a new kind of coffee bean, that will be giving you a white and creamy coffee without adding anything. A new era for the coffee? I can't wait to taste one of these new coffees at Starbucks.
    /idealbb/files/4Treeland-DrEvel'sFarm.jpg
Jim finally had the time to finish Brett's Mansion on Bolton Hill. Brett moved in right away, but kept his home as a cottage in Red Poll, to flee to when time gets stressy.
    /idealbb/files/5Bolton-Brett'sMansionView.jpg
It's almost a classical type of mansion that Brett has designed himself, and it has one of those nice views , only a few can own.
    /idealbb/files/6Bolton-Brett'sMansion1.jpg
The mansion is about only a hundred feet below the treeline. Mr Brett said that he liked the fresh mountain air much better than the warmer and moist air down in the valleys.
    /idealbb/files/7Bolton-Brett's
While we talk about Brett, might as well have a look at his newest construction in Gloryville, the Sirius Group's Financial Institution.
And I thought they were building thir HQ there, but Brett told me that the HQ will be coming soon also and it willl be in Axis South. He is only waiting for the mayor'spermission to destroy a few buildings and to make room for the Sirius HQ. Now that the Sirius Group has put its foot on Genesis, things might change a bit, and some don't like the idea of it already, after having seen, what they own and control on Uru.
    /idealbb/files/8GloryvilleSiriusBank.jpg
And while we are here in the Capitol , we might as well have a Overall look at the Downtown area of it, that is changing almost every week. Gloryville now is the third biggest City on Genesis, having been passed by Axis South lately, on the second place now with 130K pop.
    /idealbb/files/9Gloryville-CityView1.jpg

Be back sometime in the weekend. 2.gifHave a nice one!

Wow! haven't visited for quite some time now, so I had to do some reading. I came across a little message which concerned me somewhat 2.gif, it was about a certain Horatio Utora, whose personalia were lost....6.gif
I must agree with MrCinatit, and many others: it's the details that add so much to this epic story. And if you don't have the love, if you don't have the enthusiasm, you don't care about details.
The details in your spectaculat cj, mrbisonm, are proof of your love of the story, of the game; you obviously enjoy every second of it!
Just to mention a few: that street end near the house on the mountaintop which you modified, or what about that spectacular medieval house (near the church, 1st page of the latest update)? Wonderful!
What would Simtrop be without Nexis of Genesis?

I'm confused...is that building the Sirius Group's building? Or is it going to be knocked down to make room for it?

wow, again a lot of nice comments. Nice of you all.

Yes, I do like the game and writing the story , i guess you all know by now....lol. I'm having the ball of my life doing it,whenever I find some free time from all that busy-ness that I am living at the moment. This Cj detaches me from the reality for a short time. Thanks again you all.

stjern swe, the tallest building at the moment must be the first that Brett built( Brett's first Hi-Rise.), but I don't know the name of it.

utora, thanks for sending me the info again, sorry about losing it.

timotheus4, yes , this is the first Sirius bldg on Genesis, but  not the HQ, which will be in Axis South. The Sirius Group has built this financial institution to get a foot on Genesis, meaning this is only the beginning.

I won't be able to continue the story until late sunday, when I get back home, I am not on my home computer until then, but I will comment and answer questions everyday......2.gif

    Too large.

    The message from Dirk reads:

    Hello Timotheus

This is to inform you that your 60 meg file was removed from the STEX due to its size. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate files of that size - we ran out of space on our FTP mirror and were not able to accept new additions. This is planning to be addressed in the future. Sorry.

    dirk

I know why Bolton has traffic problems, there is only 1 on/off ramp on the highway build anothe one and the traffic might improve, and you could package this city journal and photos, extra features, and possible the regions, or plugins in a .zip and put it on the stex, that way we can re-read the story when we aren't on the internet, or SimTropolis is offline.
