andrew george: Lots and Bats that you have never seen elsewhere, are probably from my private collection, like all the piping and Dam (not damn) Lots.
Depending on how complicated a BAT is, but let's take the undergroundpipe lot with the 3 blue pipes for an example. This took me 30 minutes in the BAT,5 minutes to render and another 5 minutes to make the lot.Acceptable I guess.- I usually do them on my coffee breaks.
pyros: yes the underground pipes are mine.
gladiator:I'm glad you downloaded the lighthouse...lol

    A small update..........
Do you remember the rich fellow that came from Uru and installed himself on Genesis in the township of Bolton, and was the owner of Dice Electronics? See the picture......

    /idealbb/files/1Bolton-Diceville1.jpg
He was the richest man on Uru and Genesis together, but never really started something on Genesis. -Well, he has deceased of natural causes. His Companies built all the computer systems  for the Spaceships and the robots, also for the LBST and all the computers possible (and who knows, maybe even yours).
His only child is Noyita Dice,
    /idealbb/files/2NoyitaDice1.jpg
which just inherited everything, but she is not really into all that electronic stuff. Since one of the sons of Vallen Nexis,Troy Nexis,
    /idealbb/files/3Troy
was working for her father, Noyita kinda seems to like him and it might end up in a union of the two. This could be the richest marriage ever held on Uru or Genesis, since the Nexis family is one of the richest too. Troy, he might continue the Dice Electronics, because it's what he likes to do.- BTW, his father Vallen just turned 55 and is planning to build a Mega City on Nexis Islands.
Another one of our favourites has deceased on his monthly trip to his home planet. Oriole, who was the first Contact of the Gaburans. His corps will be burried on Mahoon where his folks want it, but a Statue will be build, where the first arrivals from Uru have met him, near Lake Fallow, south of Three Towers and west of New Sholes. First a road has to be build, but not enough workers are available right now.- A new Ambassador from Mahoon will soon arrive to take his place. Will he be as kind as Oriole?
    /idealbb/files/4105.JPG

    /idealbb/files/5Fallow

    Next:
    - The little village of Nexis
    - The explanation of the failure of the LBST
    - Tenzel is building a harbour
    - Highway 2 to Nexis
    - Gloryville is taking its part of action for its futur

I guess some of you are interested to see parts of the Capitol City of Uru. So, I will throw in a couple of pics here and there and once in awhile from Urulia ( something like an Intermezzo). At the same time , this will entertain those who enjoy the City life
of the game. ( Also later, coming up are some pics from Mahoon's Capitol, brought back by the Nexian Ambassador)
Let's start right away with the Central Plaza,Downtown Capitol on Uru, where all the action of buissness is.A horror for Country folks.

    /idealbb/files/1DowntownPlazaUru.jpg
This is just below the cliff of Urulia, where the old architecture meets the new. Financial Institutions are on the left and on the right, while older buildings have been in the center for many centuries. The Cliff in the back mounts to where the rich folks live, only about 10 minutes by car.
    /idealbb/files/2FinCtrUru.jpg
This is on top of the cliff, that has the overall view of the  Urulian Capitol City.(a picture of that view will be shown sometime later). The richest people on Uru live or used to live here, such as the Dice Family,Nexis Family, the owner of the Razor Blade logging Co and many others. The Mayor lives right in the middle and the Grand Ruler of Uru lives on the top right.
The Home where the legendary Daight Nexis was born and has died too, has become a History site and a Museum of his life.Access to this part of the City is only allowed with Security officers and only for the visit of the museum. The roads are closed to this domain.
    /idealbb/files/3RichMan'sCliffUru.jpg

It is a shame though, that all this will be completely absorbed by the massive Meteor of Opall. But it still will take a little more than 150 years.Hoping that most of the living creatures will be removed by then.

    .....I'll be back tomorrow.......2.gif

Instead of using names that don't make sense or don't exist, I keep track of how many different Cities I have built  with these numbers.Like the City of Atlas was my 113th  City that I started.
Besides I know that I am the Mayor in the game and the Mayor in the story, I just give it a name.
    Logical, no?18.gif

If you prefer numbers instead of mayor names, then why is the mayor for Tenzel Outlet Killy Beaner? Does he kill beans or something?

Anyway, another great part of another great city journal.

Sooner or later every character  of the story will die, that is life and that is the story too.
The Nexis family has always been a rich dynasty. Daight's father  Mothle Nexis (Vallen Nexis' Grandfather) was the owner of the Medis and communication industry on Uru and I guess with the invention of Daight's LBST, the family became even richer.
Vallen Nexis owns all the eleven Nexis Island and some parts of the mountains.
Oriole, being far over 100 years old, has died of old age on a simple monthly trip to his home on Mahoon.

I will be slowing down the time of the journal for awhile, there are many things happening and many details to mention, so, the years will go by slower from now on.

    Have a nice weekend.2.gif

First off I'd like to say that this is probably the single best thread I ever read, and I have been reading it sttraight through for 2 days. Great job

Secondly, after reading straight through the history of Genisus you just, just take it away from me!!!8.gif15.gif14.gif This thread has been the highlight off my past 2 days!

I do agree with Jim, depending on how much longer this story is, you should publish this as a short story or a book. I for one would buy it in an instant. I would say something even more flatterring but I am at a loss for words.

Ok, now the problem with uploading the pics has not been solved entirely, but I will use lesser quality pics (95%) to keep the same sizes.(640x480).......hope that'll please you drevilshenchman..lol.2.gif

Thanks to all who were trying to solve this problem in the technical thread. ( I promiss that I will find the root of this problem)1.gif

Like I said earlier, the story will slow down in time (storytime) a bit, because now a lot of things change, like: villages becoming towns and towns are breaking the limit of Cities...etc. We will be seen more of one town at a time and one happening after the other.

    Back to the story.
The town of Nexis was established and already some new Settlers came in, even that the village is far from everything ( and I mean far), most of the Newcomers believe that Vallen Nexis (the elected Mayor) will make it to be one of the best towns around. *Connections to the rest of the region will soon be made*, were his comments on a news conference. Since Vallen is the owner of the Nexis Islands,7 townships in all, land is not available as a cheap bargain, but the beauty of this region is overwhelming the price at large rate.Worth every Simoleon penny of it

    /idealbb/files/1Nexis2.jpg
Construction of the Highway 2 has started, but because of not enough labour available, it was stalled, until the Dam and the Hydro-electrical lines are finished. We need more labourers, interested?-The crystal clear water of these Islands are just breathtaking.
    /idealbb/files/2NexisIslands1.jpg
The small community of Nexis started just beside the Abyss, that drops steeply into nowhere. Here Vallen built his new Mansion, just beside my own little fishing cabin. BTW, fishing is of excellent class here and rumours are that some anglers have seen some bigger creatures than houses not far from the Abyss. Biologists are trying to figure out what they were, before Monster stories are making headlines.
    /idealbb/files/3Nexis
I included this close-up picture of Vallen's Log-mansion, because I thought it was worth seeing it, being the first one having built one like this. Here too, some rumours say that BarbyW has a similar one, but we don't know for sure and don't know where. Investigations will be made to find out who was the first. I think it's Vallen himself that is taking a swim this morning in his backyard.
    /idealbb/files/4NexisHome.jpg

Vallen Nexis' older son Troy was talking about starting one of Dice's Electronics manufacturing right here in Nexis, to draw more people to this township, by offering some well paid jobs. Vallen agreed and is willing to make some arrangements for commercial and hi-tech industries zoniong close by.

    Next on Nexis:
    - the LBST failure, very serious problem, especially now that Daight Nexis ( the inventor) is not around anymore.
    - Tenzel Outlet's Harbour developpment

Some more pics, because it is Sunday and raining.

Here are some pictures of newly developped Campagna communities, not much to say about, but maybe worthwhile talking about in the future.
Near the big Blacklake, which covers almost 4 townships and is named after its blackish waters, a new village arrised called Black Lake. Since it is too far away from the Powerlines , it has its own electricity producing Solar plant. Water is still taken from the lake directly and filtered in each home.

    /idealbb/files/1Black
A small biotechnical plant is employing most of the Villagers.
    /idealbb/files/2Black
The community is so small that traffic can be easily counted, and some folks even park their truck containers right in the middle of the road, without anyone bothering about it. Probably because they are still surrounded by a lot forest and freed space is not yet available. Demands for clearing land has been made to the Razor Blade Logging Co and the Administration Office in Gloryville.
    /idealbb/files/3Black
Houses are spread out here and there, still new to developpment,Black Lake is lacking the immigration of settlers, because of its situation. South-west of Treeland, it is too far from civilization yet.
    /idealbb/files/4Black
The nice town of Coarseville is just about in the same area as Blacklake, but south of Treeland and much closer to the busy Razor Blade Company.
    /idealbb/files/5Coarseville1.JPG

    .....enjoy the scenery .......2.gif

YAY!! another update. I like how this CJ doesnt focuss on one or two towns but something like 10, it makes things more interesting. and its cool how you also go into depth about projects such as the dam (hehe i originally spelled it damn, had to fix that3.gif') or (a while back) LBST.

I didnt want to bump the 100th Nexis building thread so i'll just say here that the 100th Nexisa building is amazing and it really is the focal point of my region, in fact i'd say that my region looks the way it does do to many of your buildings.

A big THANK YOU for all youve done with this CJ, all you will do with it and all your lots.9.gif'9.gif'9.gif'44.gif'44.gif'
