Exporting power

Is there a way that I can make one city buy power from another city?

It seems it ought to be possible, but even when I've set up pylons (even lots of pylons) leading into a neighbouring city, and arranged plenty of capacity, and ensured the neighbouring city has plenty of money to pay for it, and I've waited a good long time, and I'm already trading water and garbage between them, power is never an option that becomes available in the "Neighbor Deals" window.

I've never had this problem before. I've always been able to sell power. I'm wondering that once you connect the power lines from the city with the power plant, that you have to run the lines to a zone or something in the city you want to buy power with before it becomes an option? I really don't have any idea. But like I said, I've always been able to sell power.

Those power lines have to be connected to an actual source of power in the other city that you want to buy it from. Other than that, I dont see any problems, sorry.

I think in order to buy power, there has to be a need for more of it. Try removing some power plants in the city you want to sell power to, and that city should have an option to buy once it has less power capacity on its own.

Of course, keep in mind that reducing funding will also cause there to be a shortfall, just as removing a power plant would. Use the method that costs you less.
