I have a big population city(in people), and I was wondering if I should move the airport from there to a commercial city, or to an industial city.

You need airports only for commercial areas.

Airports don't make sense in residential areas, they don't give a benefit.

The only thing you will notice that it will be attended by workers/travellers coming from residential areas.

Since you mentioned seaports, I've got two industrial cities side-by-side. One has a seaport, but not the other. I don't know what's happening to all the products manufactured by the city without a seaport, but they're not being driven to the seaport in its neighbour. Is this normal? Does each industrial city require its own seaport?

For that matter, the amount the seaport ships is suspiciously low for the size of the industrial area within its own city, although it does have a well-used road to a residential city elsewhere. Where is all that freight going, if it is not being shipped out?

The seaport's sole purpose is to ship freight outside town. It will only be used if it's faster than a road or rail connection to a neighbor (which means the best place to build a seaport is in the center of a map). A city without seaport will not use the seaport of a neighboring city for the same reason.

I'd say put the airport in an industrial zone because it brings down land value.  Here's a pic of my airport.

I always put my airports near industrial areas, or on a strip of land between water.  This way it is away from residential and commercial areas.  It will still drive demand but not be a noise and pollution problem.
