I really liked looking at your transportation map, it looks like you worked hard on your regional road/highway system. I'd love to see a labled map of your roads sometime.

Whoa, huge update. This looks amazing, everything looks so well-planned and realistic. I also like the skyline very much, great mix of mid- and low-rise development in your Downtown. If you compare to RL dimension... what would the population of that town be?

This cj is very nice!!!!

Very realistic and well planned, downtown is aswome and suburbs look great!!!!

I have one question, Do you use zones at all for your development or is it all plopped?

I will definatly be back for more!!!!

A very nice CJ you have here. I can see that you put a lot of time and effort into planning, especially with transportation. All your planning has paid off!

I love the variety of buildings you have in downtown Parkland. I'm not too fond of all the pavement and parking lots, but then again, it IS realistic. I'll be following the progress of Parkland. Keep up the great work!

Ohh, I'm also curious if you let your downtown develop naturally, or if you plop the buildings there?

    Parkland - Adventures In Realism

    ANSWERS:

philscafe : it is meant to resemble a small us town of around 250k, i really take ques from the southern us, since i know it the best.

aceofspades : i have been working on parkland in one form or another for 2 years now. i focus a lot on realism and detail

hawkeye :  several people have asked that in this thread already. i let res grow by itself, and i plop nearly everything else, unless the creators have made it grow only

    alabaster : see above comment

ilikehotdogsalot and artur_001 : wasnt me, i havent been around for a couple of weeks.

thanks everyone else for your kind comments. i hope to have the next update out this weekend!

How did you get the smooth freeway curves or is that just natural and it just looks so great because of the interesting flow of the road! I love the sidewalk fillers...and the use of area with larges parking lots and open areas...AWESOME, this is another journal really making me ache to get back into my city journal and spruce of my city, boo school.
