I downloaded a mod here called "RH Plopmodd Final" that has 560 RCI buildings. my question is; "if we're using SC4 Deluxe, do we need that mod or is it a wasted duplication of what's already in the game?"

Does it add anything? Is it worth having such a large mod in our folders?

Thank you

I had always thought that it was not worth having such a large addition to the plugins folder, when its a duplication. However there are 2 things I'm unclear on for this mod.

1. Does it make it so you can selectively plop any RCI building at will, so are not at mercy of the the game and luck for what comes up on any given city corner?

2. What do the buildings cost? Free? And do they have the exact same attributes as in the game, IE Jobs, etc?

I wouldn't call it a duplication in common sense. Of course you only get what's in the game already, but it gives you the opportunity to plop the buildings rather than growing them (or using the complicated buildingplop cheat)

thats about the idea of this mod... you don't get every building in every available variety, but a wide enough coverage of what maxis gave us

2. What do the buildings cost? Free? And do they have the exact same attributes as in the game, IE Jobs, etc?

not sure about the plop costs, the stats are the same. but you have to keep in mind that plopped residentials don't necessarily work well, mostly abandon to at least 50% occupation
