    I'm overdue for an update.

Today I have a quick update of more close-ups Lincoln Park ,one of Chicago's most famous neighborhoods. The area is known for its Victorian and turn of the century architecture. Though, much of it was destroyed in the 70's and 80's by gentrification.

First up a slice of DePaul University, the chapel and music school specifically. (I wanted to show this area in the fall when the leaves were turning but decided to keep the updates seasonal. Though, I might add a fall version and remind everyone cool fall breezes due to the extreme heat were having)10.gif

This is the most beautiful part of the campus IMO. Unfortunately one of the gothic chapels (which is not in the picture) which used to be nearby was torn down to make way for the CTA "improvement project." The other still survives across the play fields.

Some examples of turn of the century architecture along Armitige Ave near Halstead, not to far from the famed fine dining spot Charlie Trotter's. Not too many people out window shopping today because it feel like it around 100 degrees here, what happened to spring?

He made the cars, and even after nearly two years of first seeing them, I'm still drooling over 'em. 3.gif

Quality work as always, I like the W2W district. Guess you did some LE work since Goober's setbacks for his W2W's are different than Spa's and JBSimio's.  It does look nice all lined together perfectly.  4.gif

Well, time to revive this CJ from last yeaar. Chicago is jockying with NYCJ (and my free time) for its fair share of the spotlight.

Anyway, Simgoober's Merchandise Mart inspired me to create an update. Here's my most recent work:

First up the Merchandise Mart, one of the largest buildings in the world back when it was built and one of Chicago's most recognizable buildings. It's actually now owned by one of the Kennedy's.

    Here's a close up

Next the another famous building, the Shedd Aquarium.

Cops clear out cabbies who are trying to pick up fares in front of the museum, "no standing allowed."

    More next time.

Interesting to see the different takes on Chicago, i've always wanted to tackle it. Can't say as this is how i'd go about it, but you have a unique style. Hope to see more.

This is great! Have you been custom BATing some of these buildings and/or downloading from Google Warehouse? Some, like the Chase tower in downtown and the Shedd Aquarium...don't believe I've seen either before on any exchange

    Keep calm and take photographs.
