No problem - which peninsula do you mean? The one at the same portion of the map? ... with Fort Amsterdam on it by Little Bay?

St. Maarten & Saba has been released and should be availabe on the STEX very shortly. Sorry for the delay, I had some difficulty connecting back to ST.

Here is the final image with the two minor fixes around the Little Bay area:

    lookinin-stmaarten.ss.0.0.4a.jpg

Thanks Kanis for all the help in getting this map together - I don't think I could have done it otherwise!

Edit: And thanks newyorkrunaway1! I hope it works well for you!

Edit again: This map has been released in pre-rendered format: Official Pre-Rendered Map Requests Thread

Sorry to hear you are having trouble - what bmp are you trying to convert? The jpeg I uploaded to the STEX should be used as is (no conversions necessary) along with the higher mountain mod. The Landscape Designer will not work correctly with that image because it's made for the mod and is much darker than a standard SC4 greyscale image.

Two when I thought I fixed that SC$ said the map has to 1025 by 1025 and the map is 1025 by 1281.

Be sure you are using the config.bmp I provide in the details section of my upload.

Sorry for the short delay in taking requests... I'm working thru a small case of the summertime blues I suppose... But now it's back to work...

Here's a preview of what I'm working on now - Requested by KingJobs , here is Albuquerque, NM.

    Albuquerque.ss.0.0.1.jpg

This was rendered using a modified version of Andy80586's higher mountain mod, which I will find a way to provide, and is presented using Teirusu's Desert/Plains terrain mod .

It still needs a little smoothing out, but what I'm curious about is if someone more familiar with the area than me can verify the placement of the river. It's difficult to tell from satellite data exactly where it should be with regards to the rest of the terrain - I think I'm pretty close tho.

Albuquerque itself is slightly West of center so that I could capture the mountain range rather than having just the flat city area. This is a rather large region at 40km by 36km.

Hope you guys like it - any thoughts or suggestions?

Congratulations on your custom label! Kinda hard to read, but you definately deserve it. That map looks awesome!

Thanks so much Mallow! I'm still working on the map, but I wanted to make sure I got the basic layout correct. The label color being so bad is my fault - I requested a change to dark red - hopefully that will look a bit nicer.

Thanks also (again) for your help with the mod - I think it's gonna make these accurate maps MUCH better and easier to make.

    Thanks tijn21, TNS, & KingJobs!

Albuquerque has been released - here's a shot of the final render - the most obvious change is just a little smoothing so that it doesn't look so blocky:

    Albuquerque.ss.0.0.3.jpg

This map requires a modified version of Andy80586's higher mountain mod - Thanks to the original author, Andy80586, for the mod and MallowTheCloud for his changes which should allow us to create more accurate (height-wise) maps then ever before! Grab the required version here .

    Hi Alrowan,

The terrain renders correctly but just at the wrong height? It's probably an import mod of some kind conflicting...

Might you have CycleDogg's Columbus terrain mod? If so, check this post for which files to check for and (re)move from your plugins directory.

Also check for the original import.dat mod and remove that one if it exists as well.

If all else fails, you can try moving all of your plugins (except 2000m.dat) to a temporary place, render the map, and then move them back.

Hope that helps, but let me know if it doesn't!

hey, i just got it to work by clearing my plugins folder, thanks for the help, might i suggest tweaking it a little since the river runs a little low overall, but apart from that i love the terrain

Alrowan: Yeah, I have a bad habit of setting the water color to 0, I'll try to take more care in the future - sorry about that, but I'm glad you like it!

KingJobs: You're very welcome, and the second portion of your request - Sante Fe, NM - has been released and should be available within a few minutes. Here is a preview:

    lookinin -
I'm back! I did something stupid and lent my copy of SC out -- 5 months later it came back, and I just remembered asking for Wysox! IT LOOOKS GREAT -- the lakes and ponds included. Is it still on your radar screen at all? I'd really like to give it a shot! THANK YOU for your work, and your patience!
