    More Replies:

Jamietoronto:  Yes I enjoyed it quite a bit, i hope to go to university there.

HunterIrked:  I don't really have plan for that highway yet.  It will probably involve side by side elevated highways as well as using the split highway technique.

    RON-E:  Thanks for the support!

Lucky7:Thanks for the support, i will definitely refer to your guide to help with the non-grid-aligned roads.

Socalwu:  Thanks for the support, since i'm starting on the east side of the map, it will be a longggg time before i get to etobicoke.  It definetly gets harder the further away you get from the down town though.

Anik:  I greatly appreciate the help, but there is already a very nice copy of the Scotia Plaza Tower on the Stex.  I have done extensive search for Toronto Building and have found a good number,  Here is a complete list of the ones i already have:

    Toronto City Hall

    Canada Trust Tower

    Trump International Tower

    Toronto Dominion Bank

    Roy Thomson Hall

    Sam the Record Man

    Kingsway Shops Pack 1

    First Canadian Place

    Simcoe Place

    New College

    Bransfield House

    Scotia Plaza

    Canadian Broadcasting Center

    Pier One Imports

    Dominion Bank Tower

    Sun Life Tower

    One King West

    Metro Hall

    Commerce Court West

    Royal Bank Plaza

I only have one Tower from the DOminion Centre complex in Downtown Toronto.  This is the large group of black office towers, for those of you who don't know.  I complete recreation of that complex would be a superb addition to this project, and it looks as though it would be relatively easy, seeing as each building is basically just a black box.

And now to break the bat request thread rules, here are some other buildings that i would like to have as part of this project:

    They Rogers Center (Sky Dome)

-This is the single most important building that i am missing from my collection and it is pretty much essential to a Toronto recreation.

Air Canada Centre (home of the Maple Leafs)

-Also very important to the Toronto Downtown.

    Toronto Union Station

-A huge train station in a prominent location directly infront of the Toronto CBD.  One of the largest train station in North America.

    Bay Wellington Tower

-I found a fairly decent version of the Canada trust Tower, but do not have the other half of the Brookfield place complex, which is the Bay Wellington Tower.

    Fairmont Royal York

-A historical tower with a prominent place in the Toronto Skyline, directly across from Union Station.  This looks like it would be particularly difficult to BAT

    Royal Ontario Museum

-A rather bizarre looking building that is half deconstructivist and half historical.

Basically any of Toronto's historical buildings, especially from the University, as these are commonly overlooked when people think of buildings to create from Toronto.

If those of you from Toronto have better ideas as to which buildings are most important to a realistic recreation, please tell, since i have only been there for a span of one week, i do not have a very good idea of the significance of all the buildings.

My next update, by the way, should be up within the next couple of days.

And again, sorry for totally destroying the BAT request rule.

The Legislature, Old City Hall, Canada Life Building, and some other historical buildings... These are the buildings that make Toronto. Also, can't forget Commerce Court North. And The Rogers Centre and ACC would be nice to see in SC4, but they are both so massive, especially the Rogers Centre... I would be surprised if anyone could do it accuratly! And the historical buildings are always so detailed, its hard to BAT. Union Station would be amazing, but I think we can only dream. Anyone out there willing to try any of these?

And don't forget about Bay-Adelaide Centre, Ritz-Carleton, 1 Bloor East, RBC etc.. All the new buildings under construction. Those will be big additions to the city when completed, all within a couple years.

I can't wait to see how you do! LOL, it makes me anxious! But you seem to be extremely talented with your street layout, so I think you will be the one to finally pull it off! Good Luck!

And just out of curiosity, what would be studying at U of T? It is a really prestigious university! And a nice location too.

The list of buildings you already have is long, but still lacking many. the ROM for example, or St. Lawrence Market, CNE, Yonge-Dundas square, these are all 'landmark' places that really need there own lot dedicated to it.

By the way, U of T is a really hard university to get accepted to. I'm hoping to get into Ryerson for next year.

    Looking forward to more!

I'm mildly dismayed at how long it takes to lay out streets accurately, and it gives me a whole knew appreciation for the great re-creation CJ's that are out there.  Anyways, here's a quick glimpse of the progress:

Great job with the road layout so far. Looking forward to seeing it developed.
