Taking Pictures

ok, well i have heard that useing the print screen key take the photo of a pic in jpg. well, i can't even get the print screen key to take a photo.  can someone help me?? do i need to turn on a setting in the game or on my computer??? thanks this would help save me time alot

Well, if your just taking a picture of your city in the game, just go and click the options tab in the very bottom left hand side of your screen. Looks like 3 dots in a blue circular little icon thing next to the city name.

In there, find the shot you want to capture by maneuvering around your screen, and zooming in and out till you have the "perfect shot" lined up. Then click the camera icon that does NOT have the little box with it. It should save within your albums/cityname sub folder in the documents and settings/SC4 main folder.

For making an actual Screen Shot of your desktop is easy. Just simply have to press the PrtSc or PrintScreen button on your keyboard. When you press this key a copy of your current screen will be placed in the Clipboard of Windows. When you save that screen shot to an image file you will see an image of your entire screen at the time you pressed the key.

i pretty much know how to take the picture with the ctrl shift s but i thought that somewhere i heard that if u use the print screen key, u don't have to go and save each file as a jpg. before posting. if there is another way to do this please post

You will need to paste the clipboard contents in a image editor application. If the image is not in the clipboard you can try pressing the [Ctrl] + [PrnScr] keys together.

Yeah, I forgot to mention that fact.

Then after you have the clipboard image, it is always best to copy it into Paint. I like to use Photoshop. That way you can save it, and is easier to upload it to photobucket, or whatever free photo service you use.

Once the photo is uploaded, you have 4 possible link types you can use.
