giant packages appearing & NAM question

hi well, first of all i think this is a problem with a 'street tree' mod i got but giant boxes are showing up on my streets and it's rather annoying. they look like this: ehyb3.jpg does this mean missing image or something else? also, i am having some frustrating challenges with NAM. let's say i have two RWH-4's next to eachother, and i want to turn them both into RHW-6 using the puzzle piece. i'll be able to do one of them fine, then when i use the home key to select the correct orientation for the next piece, when i move my cursor up to it, it changes to something else. i can almost never get it to stay. is there any way to stop simcity from picking other puzzle pieces for you? i am pretty sick of it and it seems like something that could be easily fixed. i am running SC4 deluxe. thanks

rtil...

For the boxes, maybe you are missing a dependency or two. And for the puzzle pieces, it will change when you press the tab-key. And if you want to return the last piece, just press shift-tab. I hope I helped you.

i'll check the dependencies and thank you for the NAM advice, but that's not what i meant. i know about the tab/shift-tab/home/end key shortcuts, but what i'm saying is that when i pick the correct orientation for a piece, then put my mouse over where i want to put it, it changes the orientation. i don't want this to happen

If the alignment changes it means it DOESN"T FIT where you're trying to put it.. if its REAL IMPORTANT that the piece go in that spot, you need to modify the surrounding networks such that it will fit. (or you picked the wrong piece.. look for the one you need there) They autoalign to match the "traffic rules" built into the puzzlepiece

well i'm telling you that it is aligning WRONG. how could it be right when i put the piece down and it destroys the other piece next to it? i have two RHW-4's next to eachother, and i want them to turn into RHW-6's. so i select the RHW-4 to RHW-6 piece, and put it down on one piece of RHW. then i flip it around with the home key until it is mirrored. then i try to put it down, but when i do, it flips it back to the same orientation as the other piece. maybe twice i've tricked it into putting it in the right place. but otherwise it usually won't let me put it down at all, or put it down and destroy the RHW-6 next to it.

just because a piece changes orientation doesn't mean it doesn't fit. it's simply misbehaving and all i want to know is if there's some mod or tool that allows me to place a piece in the way i want it oriented without the game trying to orient it for me.

well thanks for all the fantastic advice everyone but anyway i figured it out on my own. i guess if you just space RHW's 1 tile apart they don't ever really do this. it's when they're right next to eachother that the orientations of puzzle pieces start to go off.
