No Demand/ No City Expansion

I've played on simcity for a few years and had very few problems but now i have a really annoying one...

every time i start a new city for some reason only residential and agriculture have any real demand and buildings built.

i put police, fire, health, education etc and zone in the most desirable areas, i give power, water, no-pollution, good transport- everything and yet still there is no demand.

after a while all the houses have 'no jobs' because there are only farms and my game becomes boring.

just a few weeks ago i made a large city with 250,000+ people that is doing well with high demand in all types but NO NEW cities are!!!

i have quite a few plugins which i think may have affected it and although I DONT KNOW WHAT EXCEPTION REPORTS ARE? i think they may be affecting it too

please help!

thanks...

Have you installed any type of demand mod lately? You might try taking out any new plugins (after deleting any used lots from the game) and see if the cities revert to a more 'normal' status. As for Exception Reports, they do not affect anything with game function and can be deleted.

There's no development because of the desirability:try to add public services like schools and hospitals. Hope it helps!

As I understand it, you have residential and agricultural demand, but nothing else right?

    If that is true:

Once enough people live in your city, the other types of industry will grow and some business might move in. Until then you have to deal with agriculture as your main source of jobs. You can phase out the agricultural sector with time as your city depends less and less on it.

Dirty Industry should be the easiest to get after Agriculture, but Agriculture suffers if it is near Dirty Industry, so be careful at first.

Edit: Demand mods might help you if you want quick and easy city growth.
