I'm am trying to download the new april 2008 version but I need help!

1. I have to old June or July 2007 NAM so do I need to delete it before installing the new one?

2. On both simtropolis and sc4devotion the NAM apr. 2008 versions are locked. Why?

Thanks for your help!

Thanks man! Are you sure the previous NAM should be uninstalled because I read somewhere that it is a dependency for the April 2008 version. Thanks again!

cavscrew1:  The best way to do a correct installation without any problems is to do delete all your old NAM files and do a clean installation.

There are two main parts of the NAM.

    1.  The core NAM file (which captCity linked you)

    2.  The NAM Essentials file, which has been updated to be compatible with the April 2008 release.  You can find it here:  https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?id=18239

All other NAM components are optional.  They include RHW, SAM, HSR, and additional bridges to name a few.

Also, the readme file included with the NAM should help you if you are missing something.  It is the most useful tool when it comes to troubleshooting.

I hope this helps you out cavscrew1!

    Best,

    -Haljackey

    cavscrew1...

You may be thinking of the January 2008 NAM Update. For that, the June 2007 version was a dependency. The April 2008 version was not an update, but a complete install and all previous files must be deleted.

Ohhhhhhhhhhh! That makes a lot more sense! So I have the June 2007 version and I think I will be fine without the new one. Thank you very much CaptCity!
