Can I change the savegame location from "My Document" to somewhere else like D drive?

If they're both NTFS, I guess you could use something like Junction (if your familiar with UNIX/Linux, they're like symbolic links). Pretty much, it's like a shortcut, but programs see it like it's actually there. If you put your SimCity folder on your D drive (I think it needs to be NTFS), you could make a junction to your documents. Programs (including Windows Explorer) think it's actually in My docs, but it isn't. http://www.rekenwonder.com/linkmag <--- Easiest way I've found for junctions.

k.. Here's what u should do. U should go to the windows registry ( if running windows)press start and go to run. In windows xp => run is right there . In windows vista (both x86. And x64) there is a search panel for easy acces to anything and just search for run. When u click run, type in "regedit" with no spaces and it should load it. Be very careful not to change wrong things, or Sc4 will not run correctly or your computer will not load up. For this to work, you have to look in both HKEY_LOCAL MACHINE and HKEY_CURRENT USER they are next to eachother. Expand the folders one at a time so you don't get lost. Then go to a folder that says maxis in either one, and go to simcity 4 (name depends on version) and you should see the thing you need to change anything in the game. If this dosent work or you need more help... Go to my documents/simcity4/config or something like that ( if you have office, it will look as an outlook file. Then open that with notepad and see if it has anything to save the cities in... I'm on a ok batt with my iPod touch and have to be fast with this....

While I am sure Aspire meant well, changing the registry is not going to change where SC4 saves the city you are working on. All you can change is where the EXE looks for when it wants the plug-ins folder. Cities MUST be saved in the region's folder under \<user name>\SimCit 4\Regions - if you try to change that manually SC4 will not find the cities.

You can add the -usedir:Drive\folder option to the shortcut, but that will mean all of \<username>\SimCity 4\ will have to be moved to that folder; and folks have had problems with that.

Why would you want to change it anyway?
