I do know how to use the BAT (to an extent). But Im just asking for tips, suggestions and whatnot from the community.

So i am considering making my first upload. They are highway signs completly customized for my region (for ground and EL- highway and RHW). What are some things I should know about signmaking?

If they're completely personalised to your region then id reconsider uploading unless theyre very generic. Could you please give us a photo?

you have notion of the sim scale? you should.. from there you can decide what size they should be

Find a photo of the sign you want to make that includes something that you know the approximate size of, for example, a person. You can now gauge the size of the object by comparing it to the person. But remember that the farther something is away from you, the smaller it gets. This means that the person and the object need to be about the same distance from the camera, meaning that you need to get a profile/elevation shot of the objects together in order to compare their sizes.

There is also probably some government website that says what the dimensions are too.

Also note that you should multiply the height of the dimensions by 133% for the game, and note that the Sims in the game are out of scale to everything else around them, and aren't good to use for judging things (though you'll also have to accommodate their scale, since your objects will be right next to them).
