SimCity 4 Deluxe Water Turned Black - Need Help!

I have a glitch in my SimCity 4 Deluxe game where the top of the water has turned black. I have installed a number of  Mods & Bats, (as shown below) but followed the instructions within the readme files. However I must have missed something that is causing this conflict. I'm hoping that someone with this knowledge can help direct me to where I can fix this problem

Update:

I notice now that if I go into a new region the water is default blue. I can then go into the "Create a City" and the water is still default blue. If I save before or when I exit that city the water surface is black but if I don't save the water remains default blue.

Please if anyone knows what may be causing this I would greatly appreciate your help.

Thank You

Here is a snapshot of the effect

Some of those items in that list I've never heard of before. Did you possibly install a water mod?

If you did but that's not what it should look like, or you didn't, check to see you have all of the dependencies, and that Simcity loads the mod at the appropriate time (if you have a water mod). If you have a terrain mod (and a water mod), try putting the water mod in the terrain mod's folder. If you have a terrain mod that came with a water mod, and you have your own water mod, they may be conflicting. Try removing one. If you do have a water mod and those suggestions don't work, trying adding zzzz_ at the begging of the filename of the water mod's file.

If you don't have a water mod, just download one and install it, and see what that does. If none of that works, it's likely a graphical problem or files may possibly be corrupt.

I believe these are caused by MAS71's new items.. you might want to follow his threads if you choose to use his downloads.. especially those he points out are experimental

Of course it could be other things as TV-VCR suggested

    @ SC4BOY & TV-VCR

Thank you both for your responses. It was in fact a Water Mod. And it was two of MAS71's files. Both were beta files.

For future reference to others in case this happens for anyone else

These are the names of the files

    JRP_Transparent Water Beta.dat

    JRP_WaterMod_Beta.dat

The pack that  had these files within them is as follows.

    JRP AddonLotPack2.zip

I have since removed only those two files from the Addon Pack and everything is back to normal.

Next time I will have to take better note of where beta files go when they are extracted and check those first.

Again thank you for your replies. They were greatly appreciated

I've been 'fiddlin' around with Mas's JRP lots and noticed the new water texture. The JRP_WaterMod_Beta.dat file's purpose is to change the game's water to a texture matching that of the water used by the JRP. The JRP_Transparent Water Beta.dat adds three transition pieces to the game to be used to transition from the JRP water to the game's water when connecting to river or coast.

Both of these files are optional as mentioned in the Readme, and are not required to use the JRP lots. Even though they are Beta files, they seem to function as intended. Just a few thoughts...

I had the same problem, thanks for your post, and the help. I took out both beta files and everything is back to normal.
