as for the Spaceships, the Imperium has issued the Cultural Preservation Act which forbids the use of any futuristic-type buidlings/objects/or whatever, with the exception of the Ylmeria Space Port. So thats basically the only place where u can feel you are REALLY in the future

The Torch Relay is Here!

The torch will pass from some of Ylmeria's and the Empire's most famous landmarks!

At 16:05, Ylmeria time, an emergency broadcast of the Imperial Broadcasting Network was broadcasted, as the airship carrying the flame was nearing Ylmeria. The event was covered live:

The first stop of the Simlymic Flame was the Technological Exhibition. Many people gathered in the grounds to see the Simlympic Flame.

Many people also gathered at the Imperial Archives for the same reason:

But a stunning number of people gathered in Aurorium to watch Crown Prince Nadior, who was voted the sexiest man in the Empire, carry the flame. They (mostly the girls) gave the police a hard time!

And finally at 20:00 the flame arrives at the Imperial Opera in front of Obelisk Park, where the Empire has organized a grand firework display. On the Imperial Opera House you can see a screen counting down to the biggest sporting event in the COFR, which are the PanAndromedan Games of August 15th, and will be hosted by the Empire.

The crowd had to be entertained while they waited, so the Empire organized for some stuff to happen before the flame arrived:

Despite the light rain, the last torch runner lit the Torch in front of the Imperial Opera House, sarounded by cheering crowds:

Well, this is just a background story about the CJ and how it all started... this is part one of chapter 1

irstly, the entire civilization of the Shalman Empire and the other nations of Andromeda are a result of a thousand-year lasting experiment conducted by the Galactic Republic (2287-3456) and later by the City of Parma (Republic of Cities - 3456-3660).

CHAPTER I: Confederacy of Gaia or The Galactic Republic (part 1)

 

In 2075, a planet called El-Tiribaa, Planet of the El, passed very close to Earth. El-Tiribaa was the 9th planet of our Solar System. It had an eliptical orbit and passed near earth every 3,600 years. The Sumerians knew it existed but scientists said it was mere fantasy. In 2075 the planet could be seen by everyone, as it was nearing Earth.

The United Nations held a General Assembly whose purpose was discuss what action Earth government should take. It was decided that the Earth was to send a diplomatic mission to El-Tiribaa, or Nibiru, as the Sumerians called it.

The El, inhabitants of El-Tiribaa, had very advanced technology. Far beyond our own. But what the Diplomatic Mission found on El-Tiribaa amazed everyone: there was no life on El-Tiribaa. All the cities were deserted, there was no sign of Life. The UN found archives written in the scripts of El-Tiribaa that contained the answers to many of our questions. They found advanced Spaceships and weapons, which, if they fell in the wrong hands, could be used for evil purposes.

It was decided that the no government should gain access to these information untill further notice. However, World Powers such as Russia, China, Japan, India and the USA wanted to get their hands on the technologies of El-Tiribaa. They forced the UN to pass a resolution allowing them to use the technology, but the UN declined. The World Governments started to press even more, threaghtening eachother. The system was in the verge of breaking down, and then it happened: the UN collapsed.

World powers claimed their rights on El-Tiribaa, blaming others for not letting them use it. Not long after, World War II started. It was the most severe war Earth had ever seen. It all started the USA sent their first spacecraft on El-Tiribaa. Russia and China accused the USA of several crimes, but the USA declined them all. The war stated on December 2nd, 2075.

The alliances of WWIII

The war lasted for seven long years, and finally in 2083 the war was ended. The UN had collapsed, so the great world powers met in Greece to discuss what should be done, as the planet was nearly destroyed, and could no longer support life. Technologies which we gained from El-Tiribaa enabled us to travel to nearby stars. In the Treaty of Athens it was decided that the world government had to merge into one Confederacy: the Confederacy of Gaia.

*Gaia is the Ancient Greek word for Earth*

The flag which was presented at the Conference of Gaia was an editted version of the flag of the collapsed United Nations:

It was decided that the language spoken by all should be Earth Standard. Earth Standard was Greek, using a variaty of letters of the Japanese alphabet. The whole "Earth Civilization" merges many aspects of many cultures of the world, taking the Language from Greece, Letters from Japan, Science from the USA/China/Russia and so on. Earth Standard ALphabet:

The Currency which was to be used was Astir, meaning "Star" in Ancient Greek. It was a new version of a credit card, only safer and easier to use. 1 Astir= 1 Euro. The symbol of the Astir was the Earth Standard Letter A (?) with three lines instead of two.

The first spaceship from Earth was launched on August 1st, 2083. The destination was a nearby star, which was deemed inhabitable. This was just the begining...

and this is a background story. it takes place in 2075. the Empire is currently in year 3661 (1431 in the Shalman Calendar). and who said coulla is involved anyway xD lol its supposed to explain the gap between the current year and the year the Empire is set in.

The clock stops and the pleasant sound of bells fills the stadium (in Shalman Culture bells signify good news and good luck). Fireworks explode in the sky, giving it a thousand different colors, all at once. A holographic projection starts to play in the midst of the stadium, in which 50,000 lucky spectators watch>>

The video fades away and the stadium goes black. Slowly the lights turn on, and you can see small children gathered in pairs, one boy and one girl, in the center of the stadium. The Imperial Band enters the stadium, playing a waltz, march-like, very traditional in the Empire. The children dance. The dance starts and lasts for seven minutes. Then the band stops

The Imperial Band starts to play a march and the 50,000 spectators in the stadium stand up. The curtains of one of the entries to the stadium are drawn and the Emperor enters the stadium. The children, still in the middle of the stadium, ran towards him and gather all around him. The Band continues to play and the Prime Minister walks towards the flag posts.

The band plays the National Anthem and a choir sings it. The Anthem ends and the crowd starts to cheer. Fireworks set off in the Sky.

The stadium goes black for a couple of seconds. The stadiums turn back on slowly. The holographic projector in the middle of the stadium is turned on. Music starts to play in the background. At first, something unrecognizable appears. As it gets clearer it is obvious that it is the Universe. The projection occupies the entire field. You see two galaxies moving closer to each other and they finally collide. The explosion is devastating, and the projection reaches the spectators. The projection starts to spin and it starts to zoom in. Finally it focuses on a huge cloud of dust. The projection continues to spin, and the cloud of dust is transformed into a planet: Andromeda. The two moons of Andromeda, Uur and Alta, the moon of Uur, with their green glow, are also created. The Projection zooms in further and it shows projections of the Andromedan landscape. Later on it starts to focus on important cities, such as lace w:st="on">Parmalace>, Uberhagetam and Ylmeria. It shows various landmarks, and the projection stops as it zooms in a projection showing the PanAndromedan Stadium. The projection fades, and the spectators start to cheer.

When the lights turn back on, the stadium has a goldish color. On the room of the Main Stadium there is a projection of a Unicorn, the national animal of the Shalman Empire. The Unicorn slowly descends and runs around over the spectators. Music accompanies it. Not long after, an Urthul appears: another of the creatures which can only be found on the Planet Andromeda, on which the Empire is based. The Urthul chases the Unicorn, playing. The act ends with a loud bang, part of the music. The lights slowly turn off.

What follows next is the Parade of Nations, all nations participating on the PanAndromedan Games this year. COFR members taking part are: Holidia, Norvegia, Hiigaran Confederacy, Shalman Empire and the Diesmaran Empire. Other 7 nations from the Planet of Andromeda take place too. A total of 12 nations took place in this years P.A.G. The Parade of Nations ends, and the PanAndromedan Flag enters the stadium, carried by six Shalman athletes. The flag reaches the flag posts.

The spectators stand up, as the Hymn is sung by the Imperial Choir of Ylmeria. When the hymn is sung and the PanAndromedan Games flag is raised, fireworks fill the night sky, marking the end of the opening and most spectacular opening of the PanAndromedan Games.

Shalman Empire gets COFR Presidency!

Early today, an Emergency Broadcast interrupted the regular Holovision program. It was the news of the resignition of Coulla from President of the COFR and the apointment of the Shalman Empire in the same post. The Emperor's speech in the Confederacy Representative Council was covered by all media, even on the Holonet, as can be seen in the following pic.

The Imperial Family organized a large firework display in the downtown area of the capital city, in view of the recent events.
