Here's a little interesting topic, rather than showing mosques in tradionally Islamic countries or formerly Islamic regions ( Mosques as the old one in Spain doesn't count) Let's try showing some pics of mosques found in countries tradionally not Muslim.

I'll start, here's a few mosques found arround in Oslo and other places in Norway:

First up, First Central Jam-E Mosque in Oslo:

Construction started in the late 80's i think, the building itself was finished arround then, but the tile work was not finished until a few years ago.

Second is a mosque in Urtegata (Herbstreet) in Oslo:

3rd, Ahmadiya Mosque, Oslo.

This one looks like it was formerly a mansion of some sort:

The Dublin Mosque.

Islam is still a relatively tiny religion in Ireland. In Northern Ireland we only have about 3000 Muslims.

It's crazy that the first mosque is in Norway, but all the writing that isn't Arabic is English.

I'll try to get some pictures of local mosques whenever I replace my camera batteries (or camera).

I'm actually not sure that's Arabic. I want to say... Urdu? Farsi? Something like that?

There are lots of small mosques here, nearly in every city or village (there's one near the Clot church), but here we go with some bigger mosques:

Madrid Central Mosque

Valencia mosque

Granada's Mosque

For converted muslims, mainly

and well, the typical neighborhood islamic center/pseudomosque

This one about 2 miles away from where I live is the biggest in western Europe. It's sandwiched between a surburban rail line and the northern line morden underground train depo. Also, it used to be a dairy and used a lot of that old building to make the new mosque.

Also, fukuda, Glenni said that Spain doesn't count!

Here's a big mosque from Detroit.

Supposedly Detroit has either the most, or the most concentrated, or the most something, Muslims outside of the middle east.  I forget what the stat is.  Here are some nice photos of what looks to be a carnival.

There's nothing like a house of worship to demonstrate great architecture. I wonder if Scientologists will ever construct such wonders...

I'm pretty sure the new ones do, if I'm right the Muslims were expelled from Spain after a time?

No, they won't, they do as any other business do: Rent some office space 3.gif And I'm pretty sure that most printing businesses offices can't be compared with the Notre Dame 3.gif
