TECHNOPIA!!- CITY of TECHNOPOLIS

Here Is my city of Technopolis in the Technopia region.

This city is a truly remarkable city with many stadiums and professional league sports in football (soccer), american football, baseball, tennis, basketball, skating and even racing with one of the top racing tracks and drivers in the country. i hope to get the world's tallest buildings and biggest cities and even the Country with the MOST cities and CBD's in the WORLD.

With the expected region population going to be around 4 million this region will become a place to live and/ or visit. I plan to make one of the worlds most Beautiful City and with the most Landmarks.

this is my second attemp at a cj and won't possibly turn out to well until later on i will get the hand of it

i can accept critism and please comment on my city as then i know what people think.

this will not be a good cj but in my point of view a good city with remarkable beaches and coastline itself.

here i have my first zoned area and where my settlers plan to start there growth.

and this is where ill base my actual city on as u will see later on

and so is this...

and this is an awesome idea i made up for a little like business relax place... i dunno what it is i just think its cool lol...

so i made 2 but in 2  different parts of my city u will see of it in other pictures

sorry i forgot to take a picture of what my little zoned area was like then but here is an expansion of it pretty early on tho

Here are pictures of my city roughly 20 years later as i completely forgot about pictures and got carried away lol or there wasn't anything exciting to take a picture of...

also this is my farming district i finally decided i should put some...

and this is just an already developed zoned area i put in not too long ago....

this is my other stadium and other already  zoned and developed area  i think my addition of national parks makes my city a bit more realistic except that its close to the city....

this here is where i start my actual city only 23 years on... but im an impatient person...it doesnt start great and the becomes a great city... but then doesnt really get any better...

as you shall see... this is kinda just a sneek peek of whats to come except 100 times better.

here are some more pictures from years 24-34. through this cj u will notice my city will change about

500 times a year because my buildings get abondoned by commute time and therefore i have to demolish them. as u will see in these next 2 pictures taken 1-4 years after

here is just my first zoned area which is just the first picture of this cj...

and the beginning of my main city again as you can notice half of the buildings i had b4 are gone due to abandonment

and this photo is just the picture b4 this later on

and this is just the main city again about 5 years on....

some of my buildings, i have plopped cause i dont know if they are growable and my city wasn't growing much until i had plopped it lol, my city area has expanded....

and this too just towards where i started

this is the same thing just a few days before this last picture and during the day

and this is during the day to left abit more and i ended up putting a pan pacific building as u can see i demolished i think because it was abandoned or because i decided it was a bad place to put it.. in terms of where i think tall buildings should go in a city...

in this part of my cj that nobody replies to will be from years 35 to around 40 or 38 or something....

and this is just same part of city but later on as b4

and this is the same just i think to be a few days later or months later and i had to demolish the janne torren because it was god damn abandoned

here is my main city 1 year on and zoomed out i have cut out nothing of the city that is everything and nothing is left out

i'm gonna let u know again if i haven't already mentioned... some of my buildings are plopped not all of them tho...

and this is just some new blocks i have zoned with a few plopped buildings.. which look really kool i think.

and at night with a few different buildings...year 38

and at night a few years earlier year 36.

Dude! We aren't replying because most of us can't even see your pictures!!

You need to use .JPEG or .JPG files. The pictures you take in-game are .PNG. To convert them to .JPEG, open them in paint, and then save as .JPEG format. And relax dude, at first only one or two people were replying to my CJ, but you need to capture people's attention, when they really like something, they'll reply.

Convert your pics to JPEGs! If you are confused about this, send me a private message, and I'll try and help you out.

ok so i put it into paint and save it then its already a jpeg file... but then what do i do do i put it in photobucket from where i saved these files eg. my pictures... or what...??

Oh, come on. It's easy: Open it in paint, save as "mycity.jpg" or whatever, then go to photobucket.com, sign up, upload your pics, then copy the direct link URL, and paste it in the image properties box.

Get rid of the ugly control bar by clicking the little box in the bottom left corner, then use ctrl+shift+s to take a snapshot. Also, run your game in turtle mode so that we don't see that ugly pause screen thingy...

As for your city, it is looking in dire need of more custom content. First of all, you have the ugly unrealistic water color: change it. You should also get a terrain modd. I would get a lot more custom stuff, like shops, houses, trees, seawalls (the coasts are ugly), etc. etc. Also, you are missing dependencies for the palm trees. Lastly, you shouldn't present a CJ until there is actually some development! Also, it wouldn't be as hard on the eyes if you would type in a decent way (PUNCTUATION!!!)... I'd like to see a decent city all in all...

You upload a .jpg in the exact same way that you upload a .png file. Just do the same thing you did to upload the original pictures.

I see how you too suffer from comments. many CJ's suffer from that. I try to find some that are overlooked, but deserve good comments. People always go to the "popular" ones, well not me. I think you have an amazing layout, that is above and beyond what most can do. It looks very good and I wish you the best with this CJ. Great looking layout for the city to gorw. Organized and pretty fit. The round-a-bouts are good, especially in that one plaza area in your first update.

Well never mind. I love the city's growth. But here are a few things I would suggest:

- Here in the ST-Exchange you'll find a lot of cool trees and parks to plop, including canals, to really make the city look waaaay cool.
- Also, please use some better punctuation when you are talking about your CJ. Although by itself isn't a big problem, I would suggest speaking in a story-like fashion to get people's attention more. 
- We are not trying to destory you my friend! I'm trying to help you get your pics on the journal. The pictures in your first post are showing up well. The second and third replies don't have the pictures showing up. 
- Lastly, for building great infrastructure, I suggest the new NAM mod, I think you probably already have it, judging by those roundabouts. Also, take a look at some other CJs, like Movian Empire, LORRAINE, Republic of Bevelle, and some others for examples of great transportation uses. If you have any questions, ask me. I wouldn't suggest looking in my CJ since there are no roads (yet!!! lol - it's a little more historical, you see...)

the other problem with downloading things like then if i have to install it again later it ruins my computer and my computer freezes and i don't know how to stop it... but i will do my best in other cities..

If you want a Tip: Try creating a "wall" or a parcel of land, between the main resedencial area and the Main Commercial area. It will give an extra appeal to your city. or if you want, create more parks and Plant more trees in the same parcel of land, and your new residents will start to flow like water.

ok for this thread im just going to post two cities that i got from google like 2 years ago which is somehow how i ended up finding all this... because i want all those buildings in it

the first is called lune and the second is st petersburg and they are both what i think to be 2 good cities. these cities are not mine

Here we go again.. these are all my pictures from years 41-43 and theres quite a few but all are very different and unique. its been my first pictures for this cj in a while as ive been fixing the other ones and didn't want to do it all in 1 go so this first picture shows my panpacific building getting built surround by tiberian thanefirst, zang ghee building and

the other one i can't remember the name to.

and this is just showing my janne toren and others around it.

this pic has the panpacific complete but i had to demolish the other 3 as they were abandoned but i managed to get other cool buildings which i plopped some....

and this picture shows my very first zoned area 42 years... the 2 buildings up front the black and white are plopped... the rest is not.

and a area i never took a picture of before except of the picture with the industry. the 2 tallest buildings are both plopped.

and this picture shows just like a little CBD (Central Business District) near that above ground avenue.

this is my baseball stadium next to the national park

this picture is just residential area in front of my city.

this picture shows my newest devloped area but has been there for a few years

and thats it for this update... for my next update will be from years 45 to around 50 or 51

Superb! This is looking fantastic. Now, here's what I really suggest doing - 

Since this the TECHNOPIA region, let's get technical!

I suggest getting some seawalls - you can get jeronij's ones or the other brown ones, and then to start making it look futuristic, I suggest you put in some GLR (Ground LIght Rail running through your city, and maybe some subways. A whole lot of cool stuff is already in the STEX and maybe, just for the record, you could get some old buildings, or maybe some mediterranean ones to make it look more realistic and cooler! 

But really, I love that downtown!

It appears you are having some texture problems. Perhaps you could check the dependencies for the palm trees, and I believe I saw one of the LBT stations up there with a missing texture pack. You should be able to locate those on the STEX. Also, with the abandoned buildings, try rezoning them if they continually go distressed, that usually works. Also, any parks or trees or anything that raises desirability will help keep those buildings occupied by the proper $$$ class.

Other than that, impressive work. Are there any neighboring cities? Will we eventually get a region shot? I like the trees everywhere, and that's a pretty good-sized CBD!

yea i know about getting seawalls etc. and i can find all dependencies all i need help with is fixing my computer so when INSTALLING (not downloading) my computer doesnt freeze... and i don;t know how to fix that im not accusing anyone or making them feel bad for giving me advice thats just how it is.

also yes in about 5 or 6 updates u will see region shots and other cities a few days ago i had started other cities and still am and am also doing up my region. its not much of a region but it will be a pretty city based region.... it won't be packed up with buildings like some people do though.

keep tuned and ill give like teasers and stuff of other cities and my region.
