Annoying time simulator lags......

The game's time simulator lags in ALL of my large cities, which slows down city growth. In my main city, the lags are driving me insane. Every sim month, the time simulator freezes for about 10 minutes before it start running again.

My computer information:

OS: Windows XP home edition service pack 3

RAM: 3 GB

Hard drive free space and speed: 106 GB and 7200 RPM

Processor: Intel Core Duo 2 T7200 (2.0 GHz per core)

Graphic card: ATI Mobiltiy Radeon X1400

Version of game: SimCity deluxe with plugins, updated

This happens to me too. Often >> speed ends up running faster than >>> speed. I guess it's cause of the size and complexity of everything? Maybe every month the simulation re-evaluates how Sims get to their workplace, crime, fires, desirability, rewards, etc.?

Are you talking about the moving-your-mouse-stops-the-simulator-thingey lol? During a simulation, whenever you start clicking/building/moving your mouse it'll stop back to normal time. I'm not sure if that's what you guys mean though.

No, the time simulator freezes by itself, without any screen movement.
