when I put  a certan song on the radio it refuses to play and I have tried deleting all the other songs and turning off the default ones too. Does anyone have the same problem or know how to fix it? 8.gif

Edit1: Excuse my grammar and spelling I am not used to typing on my laptop, the keyboard is too compact44.gif

Well yes but it is at exactly 128 bitrate and I checked a few other songs that do work but they have the same properties 42.gif

Hmmmm... Is the song originally an MP3 or was it converted from another format? I have run into the problem that some converted music won't play. Also, does that particular song play in other Media Players (Windows Media Player, Winamp, etc...)? Could be a bad file, maybe.

The bitrate determines the sound quality of the song being played. The game seems to require a minimum of 128 kbps. Although, I have gotten songs at 96 to play, but not consistently. Songs above 128 will play fine.

As for your song that doesn't want to play, you might try to get another copy of the file if possible. Oh, one more thing, and this might seem strange, but... I have gotten MP3 files to play in game by running them through a converter to another MP3 file. Can't explain this one, but I have read that the game's music player can be 'quirky'. Maybe others have other suggestions...

    Hi Mr Random

I don't know put MP3 musics at simcity4.I make a more simple system(but you go need 1gb RAM):

    1.Open windows media player

2.In windows media player(WDP) create a reprodution list called "SC4" and put some musics

3.Play the list and put to repeat automatic(when the list end,it go restart automatic)

    4.Minimize the windows media player. . .

    5 . . . and play Simcity4

But you can use others players like real player

(sorry my english is really bad)

If it was recorded differently then the game supports it won't work.
You can try converting again if you have software to do it,itunes works.
    Here:http://www.apple.com/downloads/
I don't know how the newer version is though i haven't used it.

Which ever software you try, convert it to 44khz-mp3 maybe keep it within
128kbps range mentioned above,if it still don't work try other software till
    you get one that works.
