Large Maps?

After reading many City Journals, I have found out they have pretty big maps. But how??? My whole region is filled up and I am looking for ways to enlarge it for more cities.

What you can do is expand your bitmap. First, go to you Documents, SC4, and open one of the region files. There should be a bitmap file in there. Open it with any paint program, preferably MS paint (if u have Microsoft Windows). You will see 3 different colors:

Blue = large city tile

Green = medium

Red = small

What you have to do now is expand your drawing field, and start coloring the different tiles. BE CAREFUL: Don't color over tiles with existing cities, b/c they will be erased. Only do this if you have back-ups of those cities.

You can make your own regions with the terraformer tool, click on my CJ link in my signature, and see my Simtropolis map for an example. Its huge. Btw ive started playing it again so i might write a report .

I dont know any other way of moving cities than to import the into the new region in game.

Remember, make sure you have enough RAM for a large region!
