Well here I am again, back from there, which is where I have just been... but then we have already established that...  so there.

[Goes to raid the fridge for left over chicken nibbles]

I made fudge at the weekend and I am actually quite pleased how it turned out...  haven't made it for years, but it set with just the right firmness... must have got the 'soft ball' stage right.

Making fudge was quite an event when I was a kid...  but of course we always got in trouble for leaving the pot 'soaking' in the sink....

Fudge is funny stuff...  I made another lot last night and boiled it for just a little too long... and it kinda went like volcanic rock...  still edible but not as good as the first batch.

Heh while the syrup was cooking I spooned some over some icecream for myself and my boys...  when it hit the cold icecream the syrup set like concrete... and stuck to the spoon like mad...  my ten year old and I then had a licking race to suck the rock hard fudge coating off the spoon...  he won...  just.

Well, school is very tough right now. I really have no clue when I'll find the time to work on all the homework and projects we get... I shouldn't complain though, after all I wanted to do this . However, I wish you a great evening!
