Thank you earth for letting us totaly trash you to the point of where we (as humans) want to go to different planets to escape the pollution. We are so glad you are taking this so well! So, if you dont mind, we will just go on, trashing you more. Once again Thanks for letting us puny humans take total control of you!

Some things to stop this:

1. Use floresence bulbs (i dont know if its spelled right)

2. turn your heat up 2 degrees in summer and 2 degrees down in winter

3. the all so famous, plant a tree!

4. turn off lights when you leave a room (hehe, sounds like my mom...)

5. if you can, dont drive!

Go Earth!!!

Tap water is indeed more controlled than bottled water, thus safer, it might have a "disgusting" taste in some places, but efforts are being made to improve the appearance of water, and remember that this taste is given by the agents put in there to clean it, not from pollutants.

Anyway, breweries and other industies use tap water to make their products, so you're already probably drinking tap water without noticing it 3.gif

I went to the local organic market today and there was a huge display of bottled water with a sign saying "Yes, it really is from Fiji".

I asked the cashier what was the reasoning for wasting energy shipping water in from Fiji.  She said the thought was that water had a different combination of minerals that helped various parts of the body.  I suggested that could be accomplished in a more earth friendly way.  She agreed and said they had a customer who ordered bottled water from Hawaii.   She has pointed out that this is bottled tap water being shipped from Hawaii but this customer insists on ordering it.

Agreed.

We can inspire others through witness so that one grows together in communicating. But the worst thing of all is religious proselytism, which paralyzes: “I am talking with you in order to persuade you.” No. Each person dialogues, starting with his and her own identity. The church grows by attraction, not proselytizing.    - Pope Francis

Yeah apparently water from Fiji has special minerals or whatever.

Strange and somewhat distasteful that a lot of 'exotic' bottled water comes from countries where the population does not have access to clean and safe drinking water, when viewed in that context is seems completely ridiculous.

I bought some the other days, tastes all right, not much different from Evian or Vittel....I fail to see the advantages of all that wasted energy to ship bottled water fro Fiji to the UK or USA.

I think the mayor should enforce a SF bottled water program. Our water comes from Yosemite and is probably one of the cleanest waters, imagine how much the city would make instead of everyone buying Arrowhead or Crystal Geyser, everyone bought Hetch Hetchy water!

I myself drink filtered water that comes out of the refregirator and our house is mostly incandesent light bulbs and we use solar energy! GO GREEN!
