Should schools should have school uniforms?

Yes, they commonly do, which is why there's such a thing as dress-down Fridays where people may come to work in a t-shirt and jeans.  In fact, although it happened, it was highly uncommon for anyone to wear anything but jeans and a t-shirt to work - even the boss when he was dealing with company reps from the likes of Exxon.

I think that's the problem, in the Uk you just expect to wear uniform and everyone does, I don't know why they don't in the US, it seems silly really when it works here.

If the uniform wasn't already an institution in the UK, and you'd look for opinion on introducing them, then you would be hard pressed to find students eager to support and defend them. There are no significant advantages only a student uniform could introduce. The role of these things is being vastly overstated.

Like others said, it should be up to schools but let have students have a say in it. I think I actually posted something on the matter before I banned was sick for two weeks. Most of the people on here have basically out-said me on a lot of things, but here's my 2
