Tropical Portuario

Hi, and welcome to my second CJ, Tropical Portuario, or Port Tropical. This is an island off the coast of Andrewtropolis. It has everything from: Rolling Hills to Tropical Trees to Snowy Mountains. This is a story on how an island, meant to be an indusrial port, turned into a city of the utmost beauty.

Nice island. To much snow though. Try making it bit more rougher. I will try to make a cj with this map also, see what I can do!

Now here we go, the first area of growth: Ciudad del Paraiso, or Paradise City.


The port, is under construction with a few factories and a water pump.

Well here you go, more of Ciudad del Paraiso. Please note that a lot of development has happened since the last update.


First, here's a new shot of the port. (Now with ships!)


A new port needs a main central boat yard to become powerful, so here is the "Ciudad del Paraiso Boat Yard".


Finally, people are starting to build some residential in this city. Some large apartments are already under construction here.


The "Ciudad del Paraiso National Park", a well protected forest in the middle of the city.
But not the only forest??


An overall shot of Ciudad del Paraiso as the port continues to grow. And how long will the forest last? Stay tooned to !!Tropical Portuario!!

Hi and welcome back to Tropical Portuario. After a while this island needed a way up to the sky. So they let the Cobb into town!!!


The Cobb built many great buildings in Paradise City: Oceanic, Emerald Park, Galleria, and more.


Soon came a crowding problem. So they had to move to the west shore to continue their growth. With that the port grew as well.



With all the growth distraction, the government wanted to start mining.


Soon, someone found something that would change the way people thought about the island.

Those Cobb highrises are really nice, I just don't think the dirty industry next to it looks... nice...maybe you should do something about that. Can't wait to see your next update, to see what they've discovered...keep up the good work!

Just some advice: try to move away from the endless grid of roads. You can make your cities much more interesting by introducing other types of street layouts.

I'm back!! Hello fellow Simtropians, I'm back with another update.


Ahhh! Where were we. Oh yeah. There was something that would change this island forever. And that is where we left off last time.


The news was so big that it went on Earth, to the White House, into the mind of the President.


Finally, I will tell you what the big suprise is... It was a GOLD RUSH!!!!!


With the GOLD RUSH in progress, the port and residential population expanded uncontrollably.

Well that's it for today. The GOLD RUSH is in progress and the population has increased by over 20,000 people.

Looks good so far. I like the contrast between the industrial and skyscrapers. However prehaps there a bit to close. You wouldn't really want to see dirty industry out of your brand new 'scraper would you? anyways just some comments.

Also remember to post pics as jpegs next time (you can do this in paint, the quality isn't very good but it does the job, just open the file and save as jpeg). But good start, gold rush sounds interesting...
