Bonjour everybody! I'm estepaflip, and I would like to welcome you to my first CJ, the Republic of Hesland! Hesland is a small European country composed of three small islands, located in the North Sea halfway in between Copenhagen and Amsterdam. Today we will be looking at Rodderkåsteel, the capital city of Hesland. So, please enjoy!

Like many European cities such as Amsterdam, Paris, and Copenhagen, Rodderkåsteel's government has decided to preserve the ancient buildings, which means that downtown Rodderkåsteel isn't home to any skyscraper's, only old row houses and offices.

Excellent start, estepaflip. I like the looks of the rows, especially with the spacing behind them (I tend to crowd them, which does not look as realistic).

Your last picture is quite remarkable. Very well done

Very beautiful work! I love the European feeling, and to me it's a blend of Copenhagen and Amsterdam. Excellent start, and I look forward to more. Welcome to Simtropolis too!

Update time! For now I'm just going to do a short update, and we'll look at another part of Rodderkåsteel.

-jacqulina: Thanks for the comment, and thanks for being the first person to comment! 3.gif Well, I was looking at Paradise Falls and I have to say that it is very beautiful, and I look forward to more. Hope to see you here again!

-MrCinatit: Thank you very much! I was worried if the grassy bits in between the rows would look realistic, so I'm glad that you like them! Thank you for commenting, and I'll see you soon!

-nihonkaranws: Thank you my friend, and very nice work with your CJ Nawako too. I am happy to be a part of COFR, and thanks for commenting. And yes, I was trying to mix those two, glad it worked!

-gabry85: Thanks very much Gabry! I thought the lens flare effect would be a nice touch, but I didn't want it to be too bright since my CJ isn't tropical. Glad you like it my friend!

-bbfan02: Thanks! I'm very glad you like my CJ. I added the paddle-boats so that my CJ wouldn't have that eerie empty feeling. Thank you for commenting, and I'll see you here soon! 9.gif

    Next time, Rodderkåsteel-Zutrep International Airport!

This is an extremely fine example of a realistic holland city, there's just one thing that caught my eye, the canals don't have bridges, they just go under the roads, that kinda ruins the fun, but the rest is just...perfect. Love the tower next to the canal. Keep up the good work!

Now this is nice! I love the use of those canals, too bad they don't have a flat bridge option... I can't wait to see that airport update either! 9.gif

So today I'll do a mini-update and I'll show you some more of the Rodderkåsteel city center, and some shots of the row housing.

Here's the progress on Rodderkåsteel-Zutrep Int'l Airport (old shot):

-Schulmanator: Thanks very much my friend! I guess the attention to detail really shows. Thanks very much, and good work with your CJ Schulmania as well (can't get enough of it!)! 9.gif

-S_olah: There's no option for flat bridges in the BSC Brick Canal Set, and I found the default bridges unrealistic, since bridges in cities like Amsterdam don't go up and down, they're just flat. So I did the best I could. Thanks for commenting!

-kondrokavn: It is very hard to get them to grow indeed. If only Vanderaap and Haarlemergold made them all into landmarks... heheh, I'm too lazy to use the Plugin manager on them, lol. Anyway, thanks very much for commenting my friend!

-nihonkaranws: Thanks! And lovely work with Nawako and Coulla my friend, you have a very good CJ. Yeah, too bad they don't have flat bridges. Thanks for commenting!

-DougOZ: Thanks! I hadn't even noticed that Montelbaanstoren had a clock, great that you pointed that out for me. Hope to see you here more!

-osaka101: Thanks! I just had to join COFR, lol. 9.gif

-glasnord: Thanks! And well I love that tower too.

-don't forget to turn off the tap: Thanks for the comment my friend! I tried not to make it too bright though, since it's not a tropical CJ. You have a funny username too!

-pagenotfound: I guess you can't find the page since that guy ate it. Thanks very much for commenting! 9.gif

-Callbat: Hope to see you here more! Glad I got the Amsterdam feel, and thanks for commenting! 9.gif

Very nice. I dont see how you get to have all of you houses growing like that. All in order. I get British ones mixed up with New York ones.
