The last time I played sim city was 9 years ago. I'm ready to try SimCity 4.

I'm on Windows Vista Home Premium.

Could as many people as possible give their recommendations about which version of SC4 I should buy

Rush hour - or - Delux Edition

???

Which is the best? Multiple opinions please.

And running Sim City 4 Rush Hour    - OR -   Deluxe Edition WILL RUN ON VISTA IN COMPATIBILITY MODE RIGHT????

Thanks for any opinions/answers.

    annain08,

Rush Hour and Deluxe are the same game but with Rush Hour you need to get the original Sim City 4 which I would believe to be quite difficult to find since it came out over 4 years ago. Purchase Deluxe and enjoy. You also double posted, do you want to delete one of the post so that you do not have multiple replies?

Any store that sells games you should be able to find it (Wal-Mart, Best Buy, etc...)

My opinion is that you shouldn't label something like this as 'Everyone Read'. Otherwise, buying Deluxe Edition is the same as buying SimCity 4 and the Rush Hour Expansion Pack (which I can't imagine is sold anymore). As far as I know both run fine in Vista

Where can I download and purchase? I know there are sites with "Direct Download" for simcity4 deluxe edition for $19.99-$29.99 but all my google keywords don't find any. I found one months ago but I forgot the name of the site. It has a "Direct Download" button and the price right next to it in a dark background with red or white text I forget.

Anyone know where I can download and purchase from a gaming site so that when I pay the $19.99-$29.99 a direct link to the full game is provided after I pay?????

    Plz.

For the sake of the threadstarter it would be usefull to merge the 2 threads.

    Listen:

This is the official site for simcity 4:

    http://simcity.ea.com/index.php

Referring to the site, the game is not available for download, but only for physical purchase on CD/DVD.

If you live in the US or Canada you can order a physical copy at the ea-store:

    http://eastore.ea.com/servlet/ControllerServlet?Action=DisplayPage&Env=BASE&L...

For other parts of the world you need a local retailer or an online store such as amazon:

    http://www.amazon.com/Electronic-Arts-SimCity-Deluxe-Edition/dp/B0000C0YW2/ref=...

In order to download patches and additional content a from the official site you need to register your game. I doubt that offers that provide sim city 4 for a direct download are legal and they may therefore hamper you when registrating at the official site. In the worst case you wont be able to download a simple patch needed badly.

My only comment is to refuse to help someone dumb enough to entitle a thread, "everyone read".

    Good call.

But at least it was Sim City related and not about getting tickets for the next Super Bowl.

    Deluxe.
If you can get your hands on an original boxed copy of SC4 then you should keep it boxed and auction it off.

    EDIT: "TRAVELLER"???
