The little white chapel caught my eye even before you specifically pointed it out. I think the final straightaway of the stream (13.3) would look great transitioned into the CSK, as I've been playing around with it a lot and find it really beautiful as well as versatile in a variety of settings. 13.5 especially is a great picture, with the waterfall coming through the walls and then under the street.

That's a beautiful village, Nardo. I like the picturesque setting. Great use of PEG's wooden waterfront.

I completely understand that you don't have too much time to play SC4. But it really doesn't matter for me how much pictures you have per update. I'm glad you find the time to do some updates. I always enjoy them.

And thank you for the explanation of the name Heubach. I guess I understood what it meant already but maybe others didn't know.

Beautiful waterfront Nardo.  I really like how the stream cuts through the area.

Again very nice update, like the way you use PEG's streams and waterfront. It all seems so beliveable, as if it has always been like this.

@Darmok: Thanks for the compliment! Yeah, I lovbe that waterfall, too, but I guess, with PEG's newest creation it looks even a bit better ... 2.gif

@oroen: Isn't the CSK great? I played with it also, even today is the nightpic's update, you'll see the change!

    @jacqulina: Thanks for the compliment!

    @Traffic_Jam: Thanks for the compliment!

@PhilsCafe: Thanks for the compliment. I hope you will enjoy this one, too!

@dhoppeii: In one of the follwing updates you'll see more of it. But at the moment I am still working on it ...

@Kwakelaar: WOW! Thanks for this compliment as it is not only a bit my aim to play the game!

@Deathtoall: Thanks for the compliment. I think you are going to like this, too, since PEG's watrerfont looks even better in the night ... 48.gif

    And here is

This time I'll show you some nightpics. I tend to forget them since I usually have only daylight - due to performance problems. Yet I am always fascinated by them, especially of Dirty Indutstry by night - as you will see:

    schilf13071lz.jpg
    Pic 13.7
The center of Schilfstadt with the Gleiwe and the railwaystation. Doesn't Deadwoods servicestations look great in the night?

    schilf13087uf.jpg
    Pic 13.8
The night train is just about to arrive in Schilfstadt.
Something is strange: When I turn the animatiosn to low, no car, if it is medium like in the photo it is crowded ... 30.gif

    schilf13091uj.jpg
    Pic 13.9
Again one of Deadwoods great sevice station. You'll see more of this village later - it is still under construction! 21.gif

    schilf13103qw.jpg
    Pic 13.10
The Fischerdorf by night. As you can see I exchanged the stream tiles with PEG's new CSK tiles and especially at night they look GORGEOUS!!!! 10.gif16.gif44.gif

    schilf13119rf.jpg
    Pic 13.11
A closeup from the last pics. I like the different colours of the lamps!

    schilf13129ge.jpg
    Pic 13.12
Isn't it nice how the light of the CSK lamps shimmers thru the trees?

    schilf13136mb.jpg
    Pic 13.13
The industrial area of Schilfstadt by night. I must confess I am always impressed how beautiful especially Dirty Industry becomes on night pics.

    schilf13144yd.jpg
    Pic 13.14
A closeups. I like especially the enlightment of the chemical tanks ...

    schilf13153vt.jpg
    Pic 13.15
... and that small railway stations just blends in perfectly!

    That's all for today!

    @All: Have Fun!

    Hi Nardo!
First, thanks for the description of PEG's sets. I began to work with them...you were right it's a must have.
Very cool update! I especially like colorful night pics like your 13.11
I'm very enjoying this new city, great work!

Sorry but another question. In your introduction you mentionned that you are using the BRF Tunnel and Slope mod.
What is it exactly? and I'm not sure where to find it. Thanks in advance.

...hey! I think my english is going better and better...thanks to my dictionnary and to this forum of course!

Can't wait for the next update.
    Take care!

@Pinchman: The BRF Tunnel And Slope Mod adjusts the maximum slope of the different traffic ways to a quite realistic amount, so to say drastically. You'll notify it especially with avenues but mostly with railways. It is quite hard and painful at the beginning but when you get used to it you don't want to miss it.
    You'll find it here .
BTW: you should combine it with the BridgeHeightMod to get really nice bridges!

    Hey Nardo.

Great night shots (the lighting effects are fascinating indeed). Again, I like the setting. Everything looks just perfect.

And thanks a lot for the feedback you posted in my CJ (if I only had an update to post...).

Dirty industry, farming, and railroads in a CJ!  It brings a tear to my eye. 9.gif

I just read this entire CJ- great work.  Hope you don't mind, but I found a couple ideas amongst your updates that I might incorporate into my own cities.

Did I say it already?  Great work!

    Hey Nardo!
Not much time, but had to comment!
Love the night pics, nightlife and rural life together is not something that we see a lot of in Simtropolis! Very good idea.

I particularly liked the industry pics and of course the ones with the waterfalls!

    Great job as usual

    Take care my friend.5.gif

Really like the stream channel leading down to the waterfront area and I see we have more dirty industry.  I always like seeing those types of things in game.  Great Job Nardo.

    Hello to All!

Plan B second week, this means a second week with two updates ... 2.gif

But of course before we start:

@sloppet: Thanks for the compliment! 43.gif

@Kwakelaar: Thanks for the compliment. I haven't forgot the textures! And next time MSN should work! 19.gif

@PhilsCafe: Thanks for the compliment. About your next update: take your time, only fools ruch in, quality always needs its time! 1.gif

@Traffic_Jam: Thanks for the compliment! 43.gif

@meinhosen: Well, I hoped it became HT but I guess without a school it is a bit difficult ... and well, it ain't so much ... 41.gif
About inspirations: Isn't this why we read other peoples CJs? 2.gif
Oh, BTW: I LOVE YOUR SIG!!!! 36.gif

@Darmok: Thanks for dropping by my friend! This time less night pics (no to be honest...) but some railway pics! 29.gif

@dhoppeii: Aren't they great? I tried to do some channels like them but the results are ... 34.gifwell, let's about something else ...
BTW: The dirty industry are the same, just different angle and at night ... 2.gif

    And now, let's come to

    Update Nr 13-3

    schilf13161nn.jpg
    Pic 13.16
Just an overview where we will be today. If you compare it to the first overview you'll notice in the upper right some new developement ...

    schilf13175gj.jpg
    Pic 13.17
We saw them at nighttime in the last update but they do look marvelous at daytime, too: PEG's new CSK!
BTW: There seem to be a lot of beerdrinkers in Fischerdorfs: two of Gascooker's nice pubs next to each other ...

    schilf13188ns.jpg
    Pic 13.18
Uptown of Fischerdorf. Those nice big R$ from RP2005 have disappeared lately for R$$ houses... what a pity, I like them!

    schilf13193av.jpg
    Pic 13.19
A closeup to the villa at the graveyard. Did I notice that a cousin of Mr. Schlaubauer lives here in Schilfstadt? This is his villa ...

    schilf13200ip.jpg
    Pic 13.20
Behind the railwaystation there are mainly farms.
BTW: Phil's Cafe, Schilfstadt is three mills, they have really three mills, the two wind power plants not counted ... 21.gif

    schilf13210mc.jpg
    Pic 13.21
A closeup at the railway station Schilfstadt - Fischerdorf where the railroad leads to Gleiwemünde. I love those close ups! 36.gif

    schilf13221pd.jpg
    Pic 13.22
The other end of the railway station with the tracks going to Schilfstadt Downtown.

    schilf13233lm.jpg
    Pic 13.23
A rural closeup a bit further in the direction of downtown. Can you spot the morning train? 22.gif

    That's all for today!

    @All: Have fun!!!!

    Nardo

Great use of the new CSK, and I agree with aleking about the trail crossing the railway, great pic!
Especially pic 13.21 where we can see in closeup the kind of double entrance to the farm, one by the road, and one by the trail. Love it!

I like how you constantly use the dirt trails AND fences in your CJ Nardo.

Really liked it my friend 19.gif
    Take care

Hey, it's the 200th reply in your CJ! that's a landmark! here's to many more 39.gif39.gif

A wonderful update, so many nice details. I particulary like picture 13.17 center of the village.
The windmill (pic 13.20) is it from the STEX?

By the way I will not do Maulbronn as the first monastery, but will probably start on the Augustiner Chorherrenstift from Schiffenberg, it is a bit more basic. Thus no need to hurry.

    Hello to All!!

@aleking: Thanks for the compliment! Things like these only cross my mind when I am playing the game; it is almost impossible to plan since you don't know what will grow! 21.gif

@DragonAnime: WOW! I am honoured to welcome you to my humble CJ! 43.gif

@Darmok: Thanks for the compliment my friend! 48.gifSuico's fences are one reason why I keep the ingame farms and fields, and there is a reason why I use the dirt tracks that often ...
BTW: Thanks for making the 200th post!! 39.gif39.gif39.gif

@Kwakelaar: Thanks for the compliment mz friend! The wındmill on 13.17 is part of the farm, sınce I am not at home I cannot tell you the farm's name by now but I will search it for you later. BTW this ıs the only time this farm grew in my region and I have a lot of farms ... 31.gif
About the monasteries: Since I am a poor BATter but on the search for a nice monastery I am always pleased to help you! 29.gif

@jacqulina: Thanks for the compliment! Always nice to see your posts her! 48.gif

@All: I posted it earlier in Darmoks Anduin Valley that I eventually think about making a tutorial how I make my farms / rural areas. Anyone interested?

    Have Fun!

I'd like to see that tutorial on your rural areas. 9.gif  Always nice to see the in's and out's of how others make theirs.

I'd like to comment on a nice use of PEGs new canal kit.  Looks really nice in that small town.  Pics 13.21 and 13.23 are just outstanding, by the way.  Great work.

I would definitely like to see those tutorials. Nice job on your cj, that's what I want to know how to do. To avoid having something that looks like a grid. In farmland and rural areas it isn't very realistic.

Another fine job of farming etc..great layouts and ideas.

I may be a new journalist and Sim poster but i know what i like and you are doing good..(us old farts got to stick together...lol)

Channel streams--most excellent! I don't play much with nightlighting either so I never noticed the lighting on them; I should check it out, maybe post my own night shots of channel streams. 41.gif

Speaking of nightlighting, you're right about the dirty industry at night, especially those tanks. Someone at EA did a good job with those!

I really like picture 13.17. I can just picture it: have some drinks at the pubs, go over to the food stands, and then chill by the water. 10.gif
