My room-mate Erica was cleaning up the recycling getting it ready to put out at night when she found a perfectly preserved bottle of Lagunitas Pilsner!!!! Must have been there for 2 weeks at least! Dunno how it could have been put there. So I popped the top and drank it. Yummy!

Because the room-mate's name is Erica, which is a girl's name, and bixel is a guy (or so says his profile). Last I checked members of opposite genders don't room together if they're not  romantically involved at all.

Okay, well that's different. You live together, but in a house. "Roommates" suggests that you're sharing a bedroom or dorm room. Might wanna choose your words more wisely in the future. You'll freak people out if you say you have a female roommate. They'll think you mean something you don't.
