Elevated Rail over Road problems

I managed to pickup a really good elevated-rail-over-road station here however it appears to be partially broken, basically the elevated rail section doesn't work.

I created a test city in which the only connection between the Residential and commercial districts was via elevated rail, using the above stations.  It didn't work.  I then connected a very long windy road, it the bus and cars could get between zones, but no El-rail.  I then replaced the station with the normal El-Rail station and they all used El-rail.

I followed the instructions in the read with running the three road tiles through the station, and buses and other cars can drive through the station, just not El Rail.

Is there a way that I can fix this, or does anyone know of a functional el-rail-over-road station?

If the fix involves the use of the BAT, can you provide a link to the download the BAT, other than the Maxis website.  After 5 years and moving house 5 times, I have long since lost my SimCity CD case along with the serial.

I am sorry to say I don't know of any other el-rail stations to download, though the reason the dl'ed station didn't work may have been that the correct requirement/package/thingys weren't downloaded.

I have searched the Internet for a free download of the BAT and can't find it, something similar happened to me. I think I heard Filefront had a download of it but it made games crash.

Hello QuinRiva,

As Joetropian1 says - it sounds like you haven't downloaded the latest NAM - as Swamper77's uploads usually do work, if you follow all the directions in the "Read-Me files". And this station obviously will require certain NAM components to be properly present in order for it to function, at least to the extent that the Read-Me says it will function.

On the other hand, the last I heard, the NAM folks were still trying to figure out how to cross two different transit networks on the same lot, and still get both transit types to function properly. And, judging from the read-me, they (the NAM team) may still have some bounding box problems.

In this case - if you have followed the readme directions correctly - and installed the appropriate NAM files, and your El-Rail is still not working (and lacking any input from Swamper77) - the el-rail may be, as hard as it may be to believe it, just eye-candy.

No detail is too small to be micromanaged.

It won't have anything to do with BAT.

Do you have/use Left hand or right hand version of the game? (not that it might make much difference, as others would have same problem, but worth asking still). If I recall, that particular download does function properly. If you read the ReadMe that comes with it, and the comments left by others, it does give a clear indication that it is functional. If there was something wrong with it, a great deal more people would be posing/experiencing the same/similar problem. I would also suggest experimenting a bit more perhaps.
