Hello all, I am back. I was off line for over a month due to having to move from Lebanon back to Albany. Long story short, our landlady decided she wanted the house back. It was hard to find a place that would accept two large dogs. Sparky, I agree doing the square would be hard and unrealistic. It might even need it's own slope mod. Based on would be a better way. Oh the stories I can tell about working security there. I will tell my favorite. It was 1990 and I had just come on shift at 4pm. One of the square's program directors (the folks who schedule and arrange events) had parked an old VW Squareback in the loading zone on the Broadway side next to the big air vent. It was a beater car he only used to haul stuff, and he had some stuff he was bringing to the office. Parked just ahead of him was a Police Bureau unmarked Chevrolet with two uniformed cops I knew from the TriMet detail. A skinhead was pestering people with a water pistol. May seem like harmless fun, but the Squares rules prohibited this and other kinds of horseplay as it could lead to more serious fights. Anyway, I told the guy to stop and put the water gun away. He responded by trying to start a fight with me. Apparently he failed to notice the two cops parked a few feet away. He put up a fight and it required all three of us to wrestle him down. We thumped him face down on the hood of the VW and cuffed him. I then noticed his face had created a small dent in the hood. The cops and I did the preliminary paperwork and I wrote the creep a park exclusion. They took him away and I went under neath to the Square offices to hand off the Park Bureau copies of my reports. I noticed the VW's owner at his desk and told him I had just put a dent in his car. He asked how, and I told him I had hit it with a skinhead. I told him the story and he smiled. The car was a beater and he really wasn't concerned a bout a half inch dent. But from then on when he was leaving work, and passed me on the way out, he would ask if I thought it would be a quiet night, or did I want to borrow the car?

It's been over a year since this has been updated? Is it dead? I'm working on some KPDX pieces.

If something hasn't been updated in over a year it means it's dead.

It's like asking whether or not your pet fish that is floating upside down and hasn't moved in two weeks is alive.

Bixel might have some unfinished stuff that he could finish though.

Here we go again, I've been off line for a while. My old computer crashed and I lost all my SC4 data. Had to limp along on a PC with not enough resources. But yesterday I got a new to me PC. A refurbished Dell Optiplex 280X with Windows 7 and a3ghz processor, 1g ram, and a 128mb graphics card. Cost me 150 bucks. I will have to buy a new copy of Win7 next year but, at least I can save up by then. Anyway, glad to be back.

Wooohooo! 39.gif Man, that's SO great to see you back here! You know, I was going to nominate you for that "we miss you" Trixie this year, no kidding. For my part, I'vr really been missing you. It was so much fun to see you make progress, to make suggestions and see how you implemented them (or not)... I've always enjoyed that a lot, seriously. Welcome back. 1.gif
