My New York

Hello all from London, 

I have been working on this New York region for almost three years now. I tried to do it as accurate as possible. I have never been to NYC but I just love this city as I love London and Simcity of course. I do not know how to paste pictures here, so I have uploaded photos via Picasa web album. as from what I can see it looks great.. but do you have any ingame pictures as well? must have taken you some time to build all that by the way

Very interesting start. the cityscape looks realistic so far. But to post picutres on this site, just follow these easy steps.

1. Make sure your images as in JPEG format.

2. Go to photo sharing site http://www.imageshack.us/

3. Click browse and select a picture you want to have posted. 

4. Click "host it!" and let the page load.

4. Scroll down the loaded page to the text box labeled Direct link to image

5. Copy the text from that box 

6. Go into where you want to post on Simtropolis and click on the Reply button (not the quick reply)

7. A new window will open for you to type your message. 

8. In this new window, a toolbar will be showing on the top. One of the icons is a yellow box with a mountain on it.

9. Click on that icon and an Image properties box will open up.

10. Paste the text you copied in step 5 in the URL section and click OK

Your image will now appear, it may seem lenghty, but its actually a very quick process. I would also like to see some close up shots of the city. Good luck.

Hey! Your pictures are awesome! I live in New York City and I can tell you have an idea of how the city is built up. Very nicely done, awesome work. Can't wait for in-game pictures.

Just repeating what crazyyaya posted... remember, copy the DIRECT LINK of the image in Picasa and paste it in your post, under the image properties (the image properties are that yellow box with the mountain inside it). Once you put the direct link into the URL, you should see your picture come up in the little box below, towards the right. Then your picture will be in the post!!

Very built up and dense.

Looks like New York in 20 years or so... well maybe it won't look like that due to changing demands with the real estate market and economy.

Just as a general tip remember to keep your pictures within 800x600 pixels so they won't get deleted. An easy way to do this is by pressing the "Prt Scr" button on the keyboard to take pictures in SimCity.
