The Site is too slow?

When I make a post it takes like 10 seconds to load.

I have a broadband connection. My latency and speed are ok today.

Anyone else experienced this?

I've got an occasional hang-up for about 5 seconds or so when I load a page: usually a large thread.  But other than that, I'm getting pretty smooth sailing here.

I agree with zelgadis, I'm gettin a smooth load unless there are lots of images, i.e. the 'Show Us Your...' threads, or a CJ. But yes whenj I post there is usually a slight delay.

Happens to me occationally.  I think it depends on the number of Internet hops and how busy the base server is. 

From what I can see the access to messages in any thread is serial.  This means that to add a message to a thread, the whole thing has to be traversed?  I wouldn't bet on this, since I think there should be some hope to end of thread command, though.
