Wow, these make Seattle's freeways during rush hour look free and clear.

Yeah, I would probably celebrate Christmas and and 4th July while still being stuck in the jam.

But toll booths do contribute to some of the worst traffic jams

Hah, I found that picture amusing too. Funny thing is they squeeze 2 lanes of cars in the lanes intended for one 3.gif They do this a lot in South America. Some of those pictures are crazy though, During Rush Hour in Rio they make both lanes on Avenida Atlantica in Copacabana Beach Eastbound towards the city, and it's always congested. Champs de Elysees is Paris isn't any better either 3.gif

I got some from Oslo, they're not exactly amazing though.. and at least people in Oslo don't make 6 lanes out of  4 or 3 out of 1 3.gif

This last one isn't that badly congested, but it still makes you think, why use the car when you can use efficent mass transit systems?

You should, but do the four car version instead. If you want bigger pictures, open the thumb manually and remove "thumb_" from the adress.

And why people prefer to sit in their cars? Because the train in the picture is the Airport Express of course! And because the train sevices in Oslo are really, really horrible (with old cramped trains, tracks that limit top speed to some 80 kph even on long lines, one large downtown station and few long distance trains). And because the high speed trains are really slow.

That's such an awesome concept. See if there has to be a middle standing between highways/large avenues and mass transit, build them together. It's only fair that way, go Perth!
