Mountain Dew is pretty good. Although, it is probably just as good for you as car battery acid. 2.gif

P.S.  If you want some of that sweet nectar, stop by my store.

Hehe, yeah. Shame that Simpson's episode will never be aired again since it centers around the twin towers and has a lot of jokes involving them....

I don't drink pop anymore. Used to be addicted to Pepsi, but I gave that up and now pop is too fizzy and sugary to me.

You can't buy Mountain Dew in the UK because Mrs Whitehouse campaigned to have it taken off the shelves here to 'protect' us from high sugar content... But dont fear, theres a huge student petition to get Mountain Dew back on Britains Shelves 4.gif

Wow, is the US TV boards that sensitive about it? It been aired in the UK numerous times... its acctually one of my fave Episodes 9.gif

As for bring Mountain Dew to the UK... uhh, doubt anything will come of it... the Government will say it puts a strain on the Health Serivce, the News will tell us it causes Cancer and Brid Flu and then it'll be blames for Foot and Mouth. People will leave Labour as a result of the scandle, a £4 Billion tax funded investigation will take place for 7 years costing the Education system dearly, the Education system will crumble from underfunding as the Teachers strike, crime will rise as the Kids get bored, the Police will say their not trained for any kind of police work, the Firemen complain that Fire is 'dangerous' letting Oil fires blaze on for centuries bringing Petrol up to a reasonable £1000 a Litre, all the off shore windfarms become useless as they are submerged under 50ft of Melted Ice cap, the country is left without power, major cities are destroyed, million of people in the UK are dead but all Gordon Brown will do is sit under his desk and cry. The Queen will Knight him 2 weeks later for 'Being a brave little boy', giving him the award Noel Edmonds should have got before he murdered Dick and Dom for being insufferable prats...

Well, thats my Hypothesis of Mountain Dew coming to this country... dunno about you but I think i'm onto a winner...

I drank a lot of soda as a teen, but not anymore. I was never a big MD fan, too syrupy and the ingredients were weird. Now I'm a big boy and settle for no less than Starbucks.44.gif

I would rather miss out on mountain dew and instead be allowed to drink more interesting things, as I would If I lived in practically any country besides the US...

I have been mocked a few times for saying I was addicted to Mountain Dew at one time, but it can happen - along with other pops. The sugar and other additives are very tough to break away from, and some people rely too much on the caffeine.

Once I stopped drinking it about 7 years ago, I found my sleep habits improved, and I started losing weight.

Actually, the FCC has nothing to do with this (though the FCC is, admittedly, known for being a content nazi). It's FOX voluntarily not airing it because the subject is snesitive and a lot of people are still scarred from that day. As such, something with a lot of WTC jokes in it becomes controversial and thus airing it is a risky thing to do from a strictly business point of view, especially considering FOX's generally conservative nature. 9/11 didn't take place in the UK, so airing it there doesn't have that problem.

That episode was from season 9, (it originally aired in 1997), which is the oldest season that's not out on DVD yet. When the DVD release comes, the episode would have to be included (otherwise they couldn't call it the "complete season"), though a disclaimer about it's content being put in the liner notes or at the beginning wouldn't be out of the question.

...I would definitely agree that it's among the best of the show, though. I have this odd habit of spontaneously quoting random things, and "Uh, do you have a bathroom in there?" "No, only Khlav Khalash" is one I use a lot.21.gif

Actually, Duke, Season 9 has been out for a while now as is Season 10... and yes, that episode is in there.

Back to the original topic, I think John described Mountain Dew most accurately... it's the soft drink that best resembles horse urine.
