I've missed a few updates. You use a good variety of buildings which match well with the scenery and one another, and you've done some great city planning!

    Ok guys, after a long break, here is my first update of the day.

    Le Locle

    Current Population: ~11,000

    Le Locle is a small town south of La Chaux-de-Fonds. I guess you could call it a suburb. It's near the border with France.

    First an overview:

    LeLocle-Feb5311198343927.jpg

    There is a noticeable French influence downtown, as most the population speaks French:

    LeLocle-Mar25311198344155.jpg

    Le Locle is known for it's distinct architecture:

    Expect more growth in this city once I complete Neuchatel. Neuchatel will be slightly larger than La Chaux-de-Fonds and have a larger business presence, allowing for more commuters. Also, Neuchatel will have an efficient train transport system.

    But, next up is Sainte-Croix, to the south and west of Le Locle. I'll have that update later today.

    Here's update number 2 of the day:

    Sainte-Croix

    Current Population: 9,500

    Sainte-Croix is located near the border of France, south and west of Le Locle. The economy is mostly based on agriculture and tourism, as there is a winter sports complex located there.

    An overview:

    Sweet update, if there are any snow plop mods that would be awesome to add to this CJ.  Keep up the good work!

    A re-creation of Switzerland... that's ambitious. I always played with the thought of doing a Swiss CJ, but then I would have never been satisfied with the result, so I dropped it... I guess from the view of a foreigner it might be easier. I'm definitely interested in how you're going to proceed. I like the hilly terrain and how the farms and street conform the hills, good work so far. I also like the style of the BATs you're using, unfortunately, they're designed to fit into bigger cities than Le Locle and Delement (but that's hardly your fault 4.gif).

    Good luck, and merry Christmas!

    @bighaben: Thanks. I got the snow plop mod and will have to post an updated pic of the ski park.

    @sims co.: Thanks!

    @DarkEldar: I appreciate the link!

    @bbfan02: Thanks as always!

    @jacqulina: I appreciate the compliments.

    @2nerdy4u: Well, thats what I'm going for. Thanks!

    @PhilsCafe: So you live in Swizterland? Where? I terraformed the entire country by hand. That was tricky, but it worked out. I should've uploaded it to the STEX, but didn't know how and was afraid I'd somehow lose it. If I had lost it after 2+ full days of terraforming I would have flipped! I hope I can re-create the country to your satisfaction. Also, about the BATs, I realize that some of them may fit in better in larger cities, however, to maintain realistic population figures I'm basically forced into using higher density, as the land areas are smaller than in real life. I hope to have over 1 million living in the region when all is said and done. I think I may even be able to get as many as 1.5 million. So, all in all, this is a much scaled down version of the real Switzerland.

    All hand-terraformed? Respect, great effort! To export your region for the STEX, you might give wouanagaine's Terraformer Tool a try (click here). But be sure to make a backup of your regions folder first.

    1 million, that's a good size for SC4 I guess. I didn't expect a to-scale-recreation anyway 4.gif, IMO the "look and feel" is more important than the scale. I'm looking forward to your future updates... especially once you get to Lucerne ;-) (that's where I'm from).

    Keep it up!

    @PhilsCafe: Thanks! It's pretty accurate except for the distance between cities and I had to curve the southern Italian part of Switzerland at an angle to fit it in.

    On Lucerne, I'm naming the cities in the language that is spoken most in the respective city. Should I name Lucerne "Luzern" (German)? I was thinking that would be a good idea. Luzern is the German form, correct? And German is the majority language there?

    You have made several updates since I last passed through. They all look very nice and you are making a lot of progress.

    One small suggestion: there is a "no palm trees" mod on STEX that you may (or may not) want to check out.

    Keep up the good work!

    @penguin007: Thanks!

    @jacqulina: I'm going out of town for a couple of days but be on the lookout for an update when I return. Hopefully I can hit up some SC4 in the car!

    @Callbat: Thanks for checking back!

    @mkaustin: I looked at the NO PALM mod, but it conflicts with the street tree mod, which is necessary for some of my plazas and also helps spruce up the streets. I agree, it would be nice to get rid of the palms, as they are out of place in most parts of Switzerland, except for Geneva, which has a somewhat Mediterranean climate.

    @PhilsCafe: Luzern it is then!
