A STEX error

basically its a server fart, meaning the STEX is not working properly due to issues, or updates.

try again in a few hours and see if it fixes itself, if not, report to a moderator, and they will get on it asap

what exactly were u doing anyways? did u search for something, or did it pop up like that on it's own? just curious

EDIT: i just tried a power search for "power" to see what would happen, and seems ok. maybe u should try again, or ask someone to look up what u are looking for.

It happens every so often and i noticed it happens when there is alot of activity going on... I get that same troubles sometimes myself and then I wait for a little while try again and presto it works...

if you are trying to search for something its quite easy to do even if the search sin't working

I would suggest you use Internet Explorer for uploading if you are not already. Firefox sometimes seems to have some issues uploading to the STEX so try switching web browsers to start with.

That's absolutely correct.  In fact, I remember a moderator saying that an overwhelming amount of queries can crash the feature, hence the URL error.  Like the others said, try in a few hours, or just when it's less busy.  You'd think that'd be late at night, but not everyone here shares the same time-zone so maybe not...

P.S. 9oft, at 1:37 you said you waited 2 hours, and at 5:30 you said you waited 8?  5:30-11:37= 4 hours, + 2 = 6 Hours?
