I think many can tell that this SSC General Discussion is far too broad. We have too many differnt threads in one spot. I think its getting too a point were we need this topic split up like the SC4 section. And on the subject. Should we expect to see an exchange for this game soon.

I personally don't have the game nor do I plan to buy it, but I've noticed this problem. Does anyone else agree?

I think we should definitely have a sub-forum for "OMG SCS IS SO AWFUL EA SHOULD DIE BRING BACK MAXIS THEY AER ONLY 1S WHO CAN MAKE SIMCITY THIS SHOULD BE SIMS SOCIETIES!!!111oneeleven" posts, then the rest of us could conveniently avoid looking in there.

It would also be nice to have a forum where strategies could be discussed, and another for city journal type things.

I think city journals from both games need to go in the city journal forum instead of this one

but yeah, some subforums might be a good idea

and what about CJ's and bugs and issues thread, along with city concept type threads. these should all have there own category in SCS thread, instead of them being mixed up in the SC4 threads, so people don't get confused on which game someone is talking about.

I would suggest anyone that has bugs or technical issues, use either the general SCS forum or Bugs & Technical forum. As for CJs, I personally can not see why the existing forum can't be used. A number of the forums here aren't "SC4" specific, in the sense that they are Reserved solely for SC4/RH (i.e. labeled), so I personally can not see why these forums are not able to be utilised. If it becomes an issue (later on down the track), then I imagine the admins may deal with it accordingly.

But that's just one pods opinion 3.gif

I think right now, using the City Journals forum for SCS journals would be quite fine - though seeing a couple here as showcases would not be disagreeable. If it is put in the regular CJ section, labeling it as such in the header or subheader would be a very helpful thing (might drive up your traffic, who knows).

Right now, we are kind of feeling our ways along here like the rest of you, basically getting an idea of the popularity of the game, the future of the game and so on. The game has not been yet out for a week, and while some basic early impressions could be made, I do not see the harm in keeping the forum as is - unless the mood of the community and/or the Dirktator dictate otherwise. (See what I did there? I but Dirktator and dictate back after back? Bet no one else ever though of that before, right? Right? Right? Anyone?) *post fades away into the sound of crickets
