I noticed in rush hour you cant see underground subway lines on the region transit map. Does this mod allow you to see them?

There is a thread for this modd [somewhere. It's on the next page I believe]. That may of answered your question. Also, if you're wanting to know something specific such as this, you could always PM [Private Message] the owner of the modd.......anyhow........
As to your question, no, the modd does not do what you're asking here. This is not something I really looked into. I may perhaps take a proper look at this though, to see whether or not it actually is indeed possible [no guarantees though]. Do you think being able to view the subways in the Region View would be of much help though? Can't say I'm swayed either way really myself.

    The reason Im mentioning this is because you can see the elavated subway lines on the region map but not the underground. That doesnt make much sense to me.

    yes, i agree that we should do something to make subways appear, if it is even possible.

    Figured I may as well post this here.

    I don't know why I never bothered to look into this more thoroughly at the time, but none the less, it does seem possible;

    However, as far as I am aware, the colour for the Subways here in Region Mode can not be changed because of the technicalities of how this is being done (it's different to how the other networks being shown are handled). So, the colour of the Rail network would have to be changed so it isn't mixed up with Subways. This also has an (slight) impact on the display of areas with water.

    For all the Networks, except subways, waterpipes & powerlines, there's one specific Property that handles that colours for the display of the network in Region mode. The property that does this, each (colour) value is essentially a place-holder for a specific network. Unfortunately, it seems as though subways is one of those networks that doesn't contain one of these place-holders, so its colour can't be changed, least not in the same manner. Whether there's another way of changing its colour, well I couldn't say off-hand, there may very well be.

    This is a before shot, without subways;

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Subway_RegionView_002_Before.JPG align=baseline>

    And this is after, with subways;

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Subway_RegionView_002_After.JPG align=baseline>

    (the black lines on the southern end of the city are subway).

    What's actually happening, & what makes showing subways in region mode possible, is the underground view is actually being used here, which is what's causing the impact on the display of the water. A similar, albeit worse, thing occurs with showing waterpipes in region mode too (pic below).

    One possible potential way to change of the colour of subways I guess, would be to locate th FSH files the Subway uses, & change the colour that way. May work.

    And just for fun, this is region mode with waterpipes. Obviously, some areas have water, some don't.

    It's a pitty we can't select/deselect these items individually, like we can in City mode. If the CitySavedGame files were fully decoded, we possibly could (with a custom made program, like RegionCensus).

    Exemplar(s) involved:
    DataView: Regional Transport Map IID: 0x4A0B68F3

    Property involved:
    DataView: View level 0x4A0B47E3
    Value: 0x00000002 (this is subway view ~ or simply copy over this property from the DataView: Subway tool Exemplar)

    Simply add the above property to the above exemplar. Go into a city with Subway & do a full non-interrupted save & exit to region mode & they should appear.

    Thought I'd post the details for this, seeing as how I may not end up doing it myself, namely because of the issue with the water & colour of the network being the same as rail (though rail could always be changed).

    Abcd,

    The Ground Light Rail uses the same paths as the elevated rail trains, therefore the GLR will show up as Elevated Rail.

    This isn't really the thread for it, but GLR are PuzzlePiece based items, technically Interchange-Base Items. I haven't actually looked at the Region map or Transit view with all the custom items, but because of the way some puzzlepieces are made (or rather coded), they may not appear under some scenarios. This doesn't change how they function though.
